Nixa at Webb City ...

1 yard TD run by Elwell to put Webb up 21-20. Webb converted a 4th and 1 at the 10. Saw something very unusual after that play. It was so close that the referee pulled out a card and slid it down by the marker to determine if it was a first down or if Webb was short. I remember that happening in the NFL once, but never saw it happen live until tonight.

Nixa can't be stopped on offense . At least not by Webb . Gonna have to get some turnovers to have a chance . Nixas defense can obviously be score on. If I was Webb I'd inside kick it to start the second half ....they start on the 40 after each pooch kick anyways ...whats another 20 yds for a chance to turn them over
Came for the defense and got a track meet.
Wasn’t expecting this much offense, but the posters who have spoke to the demise of Webb City have been greatly exaggerating. Webb is Webb. They look good to me. The running back 27 doesn’t impress me much … he had one big run with 8 minutes left in the second quarter and got caught from behind, never recall a Webb back getting caught from behind like that.
Will say this, have seen a lot of speed on the field.
Nixa is as advertised. Solid, speed, size. Good game. Worth the price of admission.
Was hoping this would be a close game… a blowout helps neither team as both teams need to push each other in order to improve for a postseason run.

Wow - I was wrong about this game. Nixa clearly has the size of lines but Webb's athleticism is showing. I still think Nixa pulls away in the 2nd half - particularly with their pass attack.
But WC is giving Nixa a great game so far.

Nixa's offense does look good. Their line is huge and are pushing Webb around.
I was thinking the same thing about Nixa's d (yes, it's not capitalized on purpose. That d will get them whipped by a KC or STL class 6 team.
Webbs fastest and most talented rb is in street clothes today with a heavy knee brace on . Not gonna speculate on his injury but it didn't look good last week .
This is like 3 years in a row Webb has lost both their starting rb in the first 3 weeks .

That probably went over well with the home Webb crowd that was I’m sure already worked up.
