Twitter is a nuclear explosion tonight. Not that I particularly care but their AD has his back to the wall now and I would say is very likely to can the HC within the week.

Local radio show has the play by play guy on every week. Cant wait to hear his positive spin on things

KU now has 82 losses since 2010. They have to win at least 5 games over the next two seasons to avoid becoming the first D-I school to ever lose 100 games in a decade.

Kansas is easy to kick, but man I did not know this, Beaty only had 38 scholarship players on the team when he took over. Interesting artical about the program.

Remember when the NCAA hit USC with sanctions after the Reggie Bush case? The biggest punishment was limiting the Trojans to 75 scholarship players on the roster. When the NCAA initially punished Penn State in the wake of Jerry Sandusky (penalties that were later reduced), it limited Penn State to 65 scholarship players.

David Beaty's first Kansas team had 38 scholarship players in 2015. Thirty. Eight.

While it's not clear how many the Jayhawks have on their roster in 2018, Beaty's fourth year with the program, he was hoping to have 70 scholarship players by now, many of whom began as walk-ons and earned scholarships.

Since you're only allowed to bring in 25 scholarship players per recruiting class and there's always attrition, it could be at least another three years before Kansas has 85 scholarship players.

So, if Kansas continues its struggles for the rest of 2018 while dealing with an undermanned roster, Long has to consider quite a few different factors. Would it truly be fair to Beaty to fire him for the results given the massive rebuilding project he inherited from Charlie Weis' disastrous tenure? And more importantly, while it's easy to fire Beaty, who exactly would Long bring in to replace him?

How in the world does that happen? 38???

I’ve assembled a pickup team from my area. Sure, we’re all slow and over 50, but we’ve all bucked up enough dough so we all have helmets and gear. In fact, we’ve been practicing in full pads for 3 days now. True, there’s no one to practice against, so we just pretend those oak trees are the opposition.
We’ve decided we’ll take on KU for a bargain: a cool quarter mill.

Ill take the old farts -3.5 for 5k please

Wait, did I miss try-out day or something?

38 is misleading. As they subtracted off all the seniors and players that left but didn't yet add the incoming freshman class which was 25. So they really had 63 for Beaty's first 0-12 team in 2015. Still 22 short, but quite a bit better than the 38 shock line.

You’re too far away, hombre.
Requirements:
1. Can run a 6.5 forty yard dash
2. Body fat percentage below 40%
3. Bench press 80# correctly
Count me in! I’ll have to hump it to get the 40 in under 6.5...but I’m safe in the others. Sorta.

How does playing Kansas prepares Nicholls State for their upcoming season? I smell high school fundraisers, I am sure my local high school would travel to Kansas for $450,000 and we'll even hold out our normal starters and play mainly JV.

Raw, I'm good on requirements 2 & 3 but the knees, oh the knees, won't cooperate on the 40 time. Could I just be the "voice" of the over-the-hill gang and do the play by play? I have some football knowledge, a good sense of humor, and the ladies all tell me I have a face made for radio so I deem myself eminently qualified.
