Notice that the counties with the highest rates are the counties with the highest Democrat base. They are also the city areas. You're trying to make this into a gun issue when it's a parenting and environment issue. I raised 4 boys. Guess how many times they've shot someone....ZERO. Guess how many times they've been put in jail.....ZERO. What exactly happens to these people in the city areas??? Environment and single parent homes. Look deeper and you'll see a huge racial difference of those being shot and those doing the shooting. Guess where most of them are from and guess how they vote politically? Our county has one of the highest rates of teen gun ownership and it's tied for the lowest deaths in this time period. Why??? Because we have parents that actually parent their kids, a great school and a great environment.

Oh wow toots not a surprise most of the shootings are in KC and STL..... hmmm and are those shooting from AR-15 absolutely not.. they are mostly from street guns by criminals from the streets. Again AR-15 kill less people than knifes, fist and clubs in a year.
