I keep thinking they will get better. They are not. How Diamond and St.PiusX are ranked is beyond me. Diamond got beat by Marionville the other night. Steelville would beat Diamond by 30. I realize rankings mean nothing but if I’m Strafford how disrespectful is it to be the 5 time champ ranked 5 spots behind a team that has been bad for years and who you would beat by 40. Pius has 1 win against a team with a winning record.

I don’t mean to pick on Diamond. I know they start 3 freshman and will be pretty good for the next several years. They are just the most glaring example of how bad the rankings are. I though they did a pretty good job last year. That’s why this is so confusing.

Licking not even receiving votes seems pretty dumb. They are 11-5 with their losses coming to teams that are a combined 43-13 and two of them were class 6 schools.

How you have them ahead of Strafford and Miller is what makes it crazy. Good for Diamond for having a good season, but yeah...who knows. St. Pius X (Festus) is even more crazy. You look at some of their losses and close wins against poor teams. I mean come on.

steelville should be ranked. They destroyed a full strength Carl Junction team at BBC. It was surprising honestly.
Iberia is below average. Why are they receiving votes? although i do think Iberia would beat Diamond also.

Exactly...they should definitely be in the conversation and more deserving than a few teams that are in.

I agree with you about Steelville. They have several quality wins.

West County is 12-2 and will most likely will win their districts. They also have a good shot at going deep into the playoffs. Should be ranked.

NC and Ste Gen could/should get votes, especially if either take down Central.

Oran just played Class 4 #1 Central tough the other day.

L4L rolls Pius (Festus) in their districts. I think they could shock the small school playoffs. They have played a really tough schedule.

Union could make a run. Westminster is really good.

I agree with you about Steelville. They have several quality wins.

Steelville is at least receiving votes, but I feel like they are a top 10 team too. They beat Carl Junction, Blair Oaks, and Richland and their losses are to a good class 4 Salem, a top class 5 Helias, a top class 4 St. James, and a top class 4 Fatima.

A minimum amount of research will show that Diamond has played a schedule filled with cupcakes. The people who vote on these things have to take strength of schedules into consideration because there is such a disparity in that between the teams. Class two Crane is only like 7-5 but they’ve played a tough schedule and have close losses to really good teams. They would beat Diamond by 20-25

Steelville is a top ten team in Class 3. St. James should be getting votes in class 4. The fact that Westminster isn't even getting votes in class 4 is a joke. They are arguably the best team in class 4. NMCC being ranked #2 is a stretch as well.
