Is Baldwin building a program there or is it just a group of good kids? Don't get to see them but they seem to be getting better each week.

I can't speak about the coach or what he is building, but I can tell you that I have been watching football in the Ozarks for 14 years now and I have seen very few teams that look more imposing than Neosho does this year (and I've been to the dome a couple of times); their offensive and defensive lines are massive, and only one or two of them go both ways (the defensive front is quick to boot). They are solid at the skill positions, too.

Their worst loss is to a solid Willard team 38-41 (and they let that one slip away after leading in the fourth); their other two losses are a one point loss to Carthage 19-20 and then their 35-7 loss to Webb (a game in which they were only down 13-7 a the half). That Class 5, district 6 is looking tough with one winless team and the rest of the teams at 5-3 or better...

Very good district here. Honestly SC is the only unbeaten but probably the 3rd best team behind Carthage and Neosho

Look at Neosho before Baldwin vs now. Baldwin is a really good coach.

I happen to think he's pretty good too but, i've seen certain coaches move every 4 years or so to situations where a good group of kids is coming up and leave when that run is over. I don't in any way think that is Coach Baldwin but a couple years of improvement doesn't equal a program has been rebuilt. It could just be a good run of kids in a couple classes That is why I asked what others were seeing there.

There's another miller coach famous for that moving to where the good group of kids is huh bleach. Been around awhile too.

wow

He picked the right time to leave and i don't blame him.

I don't believe Baldwin left for that reason. He was wanting to move up career wise and found a good fit. I think he'd been looking for a year or two. He would have been OK if he'd stayed.

Yeah he could have stayed another two years max and would have been fine. But that's why i said he picked the right time to leave because he had a great opportunity to go to a bigger school and he new what was ahead at Miller.
