reduce the number of games they play. I get that more games mean more revenue, but to have players not be able to play back to back to games because they need to rest is ridiculous. Some cases, like coming off of injuries, I can see the point. Reducing the games would also mean that each game would mean that much more and would have to play harder. I would think this would make for better TV ratings!

You answered your own question though. Same reason NFL went from 14 to 16 to 17. Same reason MLB went to 162. $$$. Same reason all have expanded their versions of the playoffs. $$$. I struggle to watch most regular season NBA games unless it's a marquee matchup. I freaking veg out on NBA playoffs though. All for the reasons you stated. Everyone that can play is playing and they play freaking HARD. Fun to watch.

Most definitely more fun to watch when they play hard. Money talks though.

When I watch an NBA game, which is seldom. I record it and don't watch until the 4th quarter.

I only start paying attention about their final four, and can't say I watched much of the NBA finals much in a few years. Last year I did watch more because Otto Porter Jr is on Golden State. He played great and I was very happy for him. I'll root for teams with Missouri players, but not having a team in Missouri to call mine, I don't pay attention to the NBA anymore.

I think I lost interest about the time Shaq entered the league.

As well they should coming off the covid years and everyone wanting to get out and about. Today's NBA is not fun to watch.
