Nations longest winning streak!

I didn't realize they played 4 quarters during the Jamboree. What I saw was Joplin couldn't run the ball, but was successful throwing up jump balls. For which the Joplin receivers made great plays. On the flip side Lamar was not very effective running the ball. Lamar did get to 1 or 2 yard line then brought in the JV, I can't explain that one. But yes class 6 Joplin did kick Lamar's class 2 butt in 12 plays....congratulations Joplin 2018 Jamboree champions.

Maybe Lamar put in their JV because they possibly scripted it that way to put them in after a set amount of plays. May have been more concerned with developing the future and preparing kids for the season than anything else.

Spoken like a true coach.
Mox loves when inferior 2nd string players get a chance to play in a game!

As a Joplin fan I did not like the OVER celebrating. But is a crack back block illegal? Joplin looked pretty good overall I figured they would struggle on Def. against a Lamar offensive they never see or prepare for, Im not sure if anyone in the COC runs the wing. I noticed Coach Jasper having a talk with the freshman or soph who made the crack back block afterward the hit. Can't imagine 14,15,16,17 year old kids making mistakes.

I saw a video that was explaining the newer rules that will probably have alot of teams screaming about flags thrown on crack back blocks. You can hardly blame a kid for taking a shot when one is presented but it's going to take some time before people (read folks in the stands) start to understand what is legal and what isn't.

Yea a kid from Webb got a flag for blocking behind the play. I guess now if a defensive player is chasing the running back you can’t block him if he is a certain distance behind the ball,???

MBFan tried to explain where it was legal to block but it’s too complicated for me

Guess coach saying “just hit somebody” doesn’t work anymore

Best I can describe it is the legal move is kind of like a controlled "pushing someone down". There's a whole "engage with the hands and no lowering of the head, blah, blah, blah" it's inevitably one of those that the ref's are going to get wrong as many times as they get it right and will fail to call it as many times as they throw the flag. They're told to watch for the guys swimming upstream to make blocks, etc.

Rule 2-2-1 O Blindside Block- a block against an opponent other than the runner who does not see the blocker approaching

Illegal Personal Contact Rule 9-4-3-n Execute a blindside block outside of the free blocking zone with forceful contact unless initiated with open hands
15 Yd penalty.

This was a point of emphasis this year in a referee meeting I sat in on.

Love that interview by Coach Bailey. Great Program and the way they do things. But needs to be careful in the words he uses in this political correct society we live in today.

Lib-tards could go after him for this comment. "What some people call bullying I call leadership"
