MSHSAA district points formula

I did mine in Access and used Excel for the spreadsheets. Quit using it when MSHSAA's response time became quicker than inputting scores. They are very accurate and have improved by leaps and bounds over the almost now decade use of the system. Are you wanting to do hypotheticals?

Yes

I've tried it both accounting for OT as 15 and 10 in the Strength schedule section along with trying some class 6 schools to eliminate the bonus class points, I've tried different decimal places thinking it was a rounding error. But I can never get it to match what they have, the fact I can't figure it out is driving me crazy

Do you get extra points from playing a class or 2 up even if you lose by more than 13?

Went with an Access database to input all the scores to tabulate the opponents record, point differential, and Class multiplier formulas. Took me a week of data entry to get all the games in it at the start of the season. Took about 30 min using the Friday scoreboard off here and/or Maxpreps to input scores (this was before Scorestream and MSHSAA getting their act together). Only problem I had then was all the out of state games and figuring out what comparable Class in Missouri they were. Did it along with MSHSAA until around 2014 when they got MUCH quicker with their data entry and gave it up. Really would have to put in some quick work with Classifications and District assignments coming out Monday of Week 1 now. I can e-mail you a template of the above if you want to play around with it without the Access database.

Edit: I made a blank one with a Point Differential and Class Multiplier calculator on the same page so you can do it all without the database if you want it.

I appreciate it @O line wins games @GermanDeadPeriodRecruiter I want to figure it out on my own though just was wondering if I was off or if MSHSAA posted the formula wrong as there were already some errors in it in the manual.... Obviously it is a slow week at work

am I missing where you subtracted your contribution to your opponents schedule? I feel like this is the part i'm struggling with on my SS schedule portion

So when looking through district standings. I noticed that in C5 D5, Central is up by 1.5 points over parkview. They've both been getting blown out this year and parkview has a much stronger Strength of Schedule, how is it that Central is ahead of them?

Brand new profile to ask this question could this be @BoosterBosko trying to get some info from the "Nerds"

to answer the question it looks like parkview has a higher average for playing up a class

Mofan79, I assure you this is not Bosko, I do not need one of those doc guys hijacking my question, I'm a long time reader of this forum but never cared to post, but was curious on this one thing.
So when you say Parkview has a higher average, wouldn't that put them ahead of central?

I meant central they played a pair of class 6 arkansas schools which bumped their class modifier up over parkviews

Don't buy the argument Parkview has the stronger schedule. None of their games are in Class 6. Central has played Rogers (who I know is of comparable C6 size) and Heritage (who I don't know where they fall). Parkview has played all their season in Class or below. Furthermore, don't see the big difference in potential 1st round opponent between Waynesville and Willard.

I get 5 posts per 24 hour period. Remember, break glass ONLY in case of emergency. Nerd out.
