In scholastics and athletics if you can pick your team you're going to do well regardless.
Add to that that "private schools don't have the discipline issues publics do" If you as a parent have to pay $20,000 or more for a year of high school tuition, you are probably a fairly involved parent and on top of things. Obv not everybody pays full tuition.

They can also kick out anyone they want for whatever reason. If a kid is a trouble maker, booooot.

Theoretically speaking, you could have a student get caught selling alcohol and pills at a private wind up at a public the very next day. It’s kinda like the AP teachers, they never seem to have the same discipline issues as say a freshman Health class. Odd, huh?

No, the state always talks tough but when it comes down to nut cutting time they grow limp. Originally kids were not going to move up in grade if they were not proficient or above and we tested every dam class. That didn't last.
