About the Huskers:[/B] "The husker football team looks to
continue to be very competitive in the MRVC East", commented head
coach Steve Cook. "We return a great corp of linebackers who all three started for us last year.
Offensively I think we return kids who had great success in their
roles last season and look to step up big in starting roles this
year."

in the league with a 4-1 mark, saving their best football for the playoffs.
Completing an 11-3 season, the Eagles won 7 of their last 8 games, falling
to Blair Oaks 46-32 in the playoffs.

About the Trojans:[/B]
The Trojans return a wealth of experience on each side of the ball. "Throughout the offseason athletes have done a great job in
the strength and conditioning phase of our program and we hope that
will pay off in the long run", commented Hough. "Our athletes are strong and well
conditioned the biggest battle will be eliminating the negativity
between the ears. We have some really good kids who must block out
the past and continue to strive towards success in the future. I
think this team is a group that will compete each week and surprise
many. I expect a big turn around this year and could see us
competing in the top half of our conference."
An experienced group who has worked
very hard in the weight room, Hough feels their experience will pay off on the
field. "All of our projected starters have
seen a lot of varsity playing time. I expect all of them to have a
break out seasons. We should be led by a strong physically front
line and skill players who want the ball. Defensively we will be as
good as our unit is as a whole not one individual will make us go",
added Hough.
Knob Noster
