The Bombers haven’t finished over .500 since 2006.
Currently they are 4-1 with 5 weeks to go in the regular season.
They’ve got a tough road ahead, but it would be pretty cool to see Steve Ary pull another program out of the cellar.
The Bombers were 7-66 overall in the 7 years before Ary took the reins with 3 winless campaigns in that time frame.
So far Ary has had two .500 seasons with bombers as his best finishes in his 5 years at the helm, including 2 playoff wins.
Will year 6 be their year?
Fun fact, I found an online source that has Kickapoo playing Mountain Home in 2001, with the Chiefs being victorious by a score of 20-17
Mountain Home would finish that season 5-5 and the Chiefs would finish that year 9-3 that year under the direction of ole Thompson, losing in the state playoffs to Jeff City by 5, the other 2 losses for the Chiefs that year were a 10 point loss to Hillcrest and an 11-point loss to Ozark.
The Poo played games against teams from 3 different states that year.
Hillcrest would finish 9-2 losing to Poplar Bluff in the regular season, beating WP by 4 in districts and losing to Poo in playoffs by 22 after beating them in the regular season.
