Mountain Grove Tournament

Mansfield and Liberty in my opinion would have been the 1 and the 2 had both teams best players had been lost to knee injury
When did Mansfield’s best player get hurt? She was there in the game against Miller.
Mansfield yes. Liberty no. Liberty would not be a top 2 seed even without that injury. Liberty lost too much to graduation and the girl who went out was not the best player. Libertys best player is the Woolsey girl who had a knee issue last year.
Tournament is wide open, any of the top 5 teams could get hot and win it.
Anyone have any predictions for this one? I have to think this would be seeded differently if it were done today. I don't know much about Eminence, but I assume they are good if they got the 2. I'd say Willow Springs has to be the favorite to win it. They beat Hartville and Salem already, so Eminence is the big question mark for them. Salem got a good win against Steelville early, but has struggled since then. Hartville is tough and used to winning, which is big. Mansfield is still tough, but would have been a powerhouse with the Henry girl healthy.
Houston has a win over much higher seed koshkonong also.
My final 4 is upset city...Plato, Houston, Eminence, and Hartville.

Mountain Grove beat Hartville? I didn't know that. This tournament is about as wide open as a high school basketball tournament can be.
I haven't had a chance to watch most these teams, so just based on scores and records I'll take a shot at predicting the first round.
1-16 Salem wins a game that is closer than expected. I'll say 15 point win.
2-15 Eminence wins big against Summersville. They are scoring a lot of points.
3-14 Hartville takes out some anger on Alton with a running clock in the fourth to win.
4-13 Willow Springs beats Houston by 20+. It's close at half but Willow Springs is my pick to win the tournament and they pull away in the fourth.
5-12 Gainesville upsets Mansfield in a close game. Gainesville's losses are close and to opponents that are 19-5, making them a dangerous 12 seed.
6-11 Bradleyville gets upset number two of the first round in a close game.
7-10 Mountain Grove is feeling good about themselves and beats Liberty for the third upset of the day.
8-9 I would not call it an upset, but Plato beats Dora. Plato has played a very hard schedule so far.
Plato is the only team I never can a gauge their close to mountain grove but in no mans land to say the least

Yeah they were in the 1st year went 0-2 and didn’t come back they now do their own tournament in January
