As much as I would love to see a Missouri Kid drafted can you consider Ezekiel Elliot a Missouri product? He only attended a private school here in Missouri but his home was Alton which is Illinois, so should he not be considered an Illinois product who only played football in Missouri?

He was coached in St. Louis, MO, played in St. Louis, MO, and was recruited because of what he achieved in St. Louis, MO.

His genetic make-up generated from two Univ. of Missouri alums.

To call him anything but a "Missouri" product would lack logic.

He's not the only one. Paxton Lynch is from Texas but move to Florida only to attend trinity Christian academy.

Eli Apple lived in Pennsylvania but attended high school in New Jersey.

And I'm sure there will be plenty more tonight and tomorrow, but regardless of where they lived, Zeke is considered a Missouri prospect.

Eli Apple would be an apples to apples comparison (no pun intended), but not Lynch; totally different story if you move to a different state to play than when you live in one state and play in another.

There's perfectly valid logic to the notion that a player COULD be considered a prospect of their state of residence (some people just don't like to acknowledge the advantages private schools have); MSHSAA should just ban players who reside in states other than MO from participating in MSHSAA sectioned events (problem solved!)

But could he have actually played for a St Louis public school based on his place of residence?

I am not certain how the question pertains. Its a hypothetical that didn't occur used, as evidence to support an answer that can't be right.

Could he run a faster 40 time if he had a third leg?

You know St. Louis is in Illinois also? So yes he could have! I believe St. Louis, Illinois is a public school district.

Are you just guessing and hoping it sticks or that no one will question you???

There exists no public school district that includes schools from both MO and IL; there's St. Louis Public Schools (MO), and there's East St. Louis School District (IL).

How would that even work??? Would each state fund half the district??? (Public School Districts are funded by their respective states...)

I find it bizarre Mitsy that you choose to comment on the draft when Mr. Eliot is taken 4th after you condemned him so forcefully and frequently and blasted his attitude, mental toughness, and integrity. Nice call Mr. Football.

Stand by my comments about his attitude (he proved my point after than Michigan State loss); what I was wrong about was to assume that a prima donna like him couldn't have a decent work ethic (and I've admitted that over and over again...)

Where were you after the Michigan State loss when he came out publically trashing his coaches for not giving him the ball more?

Well I am attaching a map of the Missouri school districts. I have yet to see Alton Illinois included in Missouri or St Louis anywhere. And I sure as heck don't see it in Ladue which is the district John Boroughs is in. But maybe you can help me.

Elliot lived in Illinois. Just because private schools in MO play by different rules than public schools doesn't mean the state can claim him.

Well I would hope no one would question that St. Louis is also in Illinois. I mean you just said there was a public schools district in East St. Louis. It would be arbitrary at this point to say their wasnt.

I think it is like Kansas City in the west side of the state. they have kansas city schools on both sides of the state but it is not a joint effort to fund it.

You realize that East St Louis, IL is not St Louis, MO right? Different state and different school district.

Up to date the dumbest question you have asked. You helped my cause more than hurt it with your comment. so instead of saying your question was dumb, I should of thanked you! So I apologize, thank you!

I would assume that Mits and MoSoon's reading level is not very high, based on their rebuttal! But I have no way of dumbing things down for them. So I will try. The original statement was could he have played for St. Louis public schools based on where he lived. Yes because he could have choose East St. Louis. He choose to better his chances and went to a private school in Missouri. So, yes, Missouri gets to count him. When one abandons their home state for another, then their state can not claim them.

People who bash people on a blog site for being drafted, A. either were never drafted or B. they are the guy in their picture who holds a grudge for other people being drafted. Mits, i hope #31 gets drafted tomorrow and you can quit hating on EE!!!!

Couple things:

1) At least we know now that you're a youngster; part of that generation that's not allowed to hold an opinion that hurts someone's feelings

2) You have to declare for the draft to be drafted, and Dylan has elected to play his Senior year at MSU (still the number 43 LB prospect in college according to nfldraftscout.com though)

3) No matter how many times you post, St. Louis and East St. Louis will remain two different cities in two different states

Well I hope there are 43 linebackers needed next year in the draft!

Thats a confusing last part there. Are you saying youngsters aren't allowed to hold strong opinions because it may hurt feelings? Or that generation gets its feelings hurt from strong opinions?

Either way I am part of that generation and have caused my fair share of hurt feelings to the older generation.

This is so true. Your ignorance and inability to learn have demoralized several of your former teachers and coaches.

I mean less than 25 when I say "youngster" (you know, the generation that thinks you're a bigot if you hold an opinion that hurts someone's feelings).

Full disclosure, I'm 34.

Don't forget their use of "phobe" to define anyone who disagrees with them.

1. You must be really old if you are the Worlds of Fun guy guessing peoples age based on posts.
2. I wish I was the 43rd ranked linebacker on a web page.
3. I will post as many times as it takes to help people realize that St. Louis is set up like Kansas City and there are two states that claim Kansas City and two states that claim St. Louis. but you keep adding a direction on there to make it seem like someone left out East.

Nelly loves you!
