I'm starting to think states should be able to open up county by county. If you get 1 or 2 counties away from the 5 major population centers in MO, there are large swaths of counties where the virus is still minimal. Especially across the southern and northern portions of the state, there are still many counties reporting zero cases and all the rest of the connecting counties are reporting 6 or less. Of course, can we trust those numbers?

We're halfway thru the April shutdown and Parsons has some decisions to make soon. I would have no problem if he decided to allow the counties with very minimal spread to open all businesses and continued the restrictions in the major population centers until they bottom out. Keep some common sense restrictions in place for the counties that do open such as social distancing and no large crowds or events.

I think the rest of the state can safely be opened well ahead of the greater KC, STL, Springfield metro areas.

How will you keep those that don't live in those "good' counties out? The first case in our area, Butler County, was a guy from neighboring Carter County but when he got sick he was working at Menards right here in P.B. How many folks did he expose? Last count I saw we 18 cases and a couple of deaths.

I am going to ask the obvious question. How many tests have been given in those counties? I predict, if any, not many.

I'm sure Duck Lazerback finds it hilarious. Most voters in Butler County will vote for Trump so he's glad they're dying. Just ask him, he said so.

I don't know how many but there has been testing because these are 'confirmed cases' only or they wouldn't be released as such.

I don’t know the exact numbers but there have been no deaths in the Joplin area as far as I know as yet. I know of a couple people that have had it and recovered in Webb City.

You hear a lot of stories about how every American sacrificed during WWII. There was a tremendous amount of rationing.

Now we have big babies screaming and yelling at the governors residence because they can’t give up their selfishness. If they would just find some discipline and patience it will be over sooner.

Once we open certain counties, we can't keep people from other counties out. We are going to have to rely on people maintaining the basic common sense practices that the great majority of people are abiding by under the stay at home restrictions.
