Mizzou recruiting in STL

Two 2020 in-state QBs are verbal commits to MIZZOU right now. Cook from Chaminade and Hagins from Ritter. I’ll be surprised if they hold onto Cook. He REALLY struggled this season. Especially against Lutheran North.
Cook from Chaminade is um yea not good at all lol Go watch him vs Lutheran North on Youtube....not a chance he plays SEC

He’s MAYBE a G5 kid. Probably a better fit at an FCS school. He made a lot of bad decisions with the ball in that game. Hagins ISN’T committed to MIZZOU. I misread his offer info on his profile.

nope

coaches made sure bazelak was okay with it before they took Robinson.

College coaches don’t consult players before they sign guys. At best, they may have told the kid they were looking at Robinson, but no college coach is gonna not sign a player because a current kid might not like the competition.

This ain't your Twitter page and no one on here is a 6'6" 300 pound 14 year old from the inner city who is going to get a waiver to play right away because we tell MSHSAA we're scared in our public school environment, no need to market, publicize, sell Lutheran North on this site or in this thread. We get it, they're good.

You should use a heating pad. I hear they’re good for relieving menstrual cramps. No need to spaz out about Lutheran North. Football season is 9 months away and none of the schools you root for will cross paths with them until the state semis. Stay off of social media for a while and you won’t be triggered by the kids they have signing their NLIs tomorrow.

I believe Blaine Gabbert and Drew Lock didn't exactly light up their high school competition either playing Class 5 and 6 like Cook in Missouri, but both will be 1st round picks.

Another way of looking at it...Cook plays for Class 5 Chaminade, in the same conference as CBC, Vianney, Desmet and SLUH.

Cook played against more D1 defenders in one game vs Class 2 Lutheran North (Billinglsy, Brown, Izubuke, Harris, Buford) than he did in his entire Class 5/6 conference schedule c combined. He also does not have another D1 recruit on the Class 5 Chaminade offense.

Ritter QB conversely did not compete against a D1 defender competing in Class 3 ball until Trinity in the title game. He accumulated his statistics with 3 (Coleman, Williams, Burton) D1 receivers at his disposal heavily outmatching the level of recruit on the defense.

When you step back and look at that not only does it make you put Cook's numbers into context, but also makes you reflect on the complaints of the talent on Class 2/3 rosters versus the rest of the state competitively.

All outstanding points. My perception of Cook was based on the decisions he made as a QB and the throws he made/did make in the games I saw him play this Fall. Lutheran North was easily his worst though, for all of the reasons you listed.

The private school boosters on mosports know more than college recruiters. And they are so classy they criticize a named high school kid's play on a public forum.

Nope not buying it. Cook looked very incompetent and he honestly didnt have a good game all season.
Cook Junior Yr (this year): 1700 passing 14 TDs 12 INTs 53%
Last year: 1300 passing 13 TDs 8 INTs 57%

And honestly stats are irrelevant. Its Chaminade games on Youtube he looks terrible some games. Outside of being 6’3 and White he looks nothing like a P5 QB.

Dude...its one thing to go after other posters or coaches, but the kid is like 16 years old and a HIGH SCHOOL football player. Let's show a little decorum and not go after a kid who is doing nothing but playing a game he loves, like any KID should.

Further, what does his race have to do with anything? You realize Mizzou just signed two black quarterbacks right? Let's drop the victim crap and just treat everyone like people.

Lol its not “victim crap” that part was simply a joke. And no this is from the prospective of a Mizzou Football fan, like I dont want him on my team. but you’re right if this is a MoSports thread which is based around high school so I’ll back off.

So noble of you.

Adding a letter isnt a typo. The a isnt next to the r. You have a vocab deficit, bruh.
You can resume bashing 17 year old kids now, tough guy
............please dont do the “tough guy” spill with me. I havent at all made any threatening post to suggest physicality. Plus considering your age I know you really wanna call me a “wise guy” instead.

This isn't grammar though. When you use a term that is the focus of your statement, you should spell that term correctly. Otherwise, don't use that word. But,,,,...that's just my spiel.

Alabama and Georgia are the top teams in our conference and have the top two recruiting classes in the country. Neither has a single St Louis kid on the list and as far as I know didn’t make an offer to any. If they don’t want them why should MU???

Only way for Missouri to get competitive is to start signing some real players

Georgia recruits well because they recruit their state well. Granted the state of Georgia puts out more D1 kids than Missouri does, but the key to their success is they get the in-state kids that they want. It would be a big step in the right direction for Mizzou to do the same.

Jameson Williams (WR - Ritter), Marcus Washington (WR - Trinity), Jack Buford (OG - Lutheran North), and Jalani Williams (S - Parkway North) were offered by Georgia.

Can't wait to see his response.

Of all the things he could’ve chosen to crawl off of his lazy boy to inexplicably play Internet tough guy over, THIS one was arguably the dumbest. He’s an emotional creature and his primary impulse is to fire off without thought. You’d think someone his age would know better, but clearly he doesn’t.

See for yourself ... smart ass. It’s a lot easier to verify than your imaginary high school coaching career. I swear, it’s like you wake up everyday and can’t WAIT to log-on here so you can embarrass yourself. Sad, pathetic little ducky.

Georgia made “offers” to 285 kids,,,only a maximum of 30 incoming players per year can be given a scholarship, they throw bait to every player in the country to see who is interested. NOBODY in St Louis was actively being recruited or they would have went there

Lol. You’re projecting what YOU’D do if YOU were talented enough to be in the position these kids are in. First, you claim no STL kids were offered by Georgia or Alabama. Now, you claim the offers weren’t committable. You don’t know ANY of the kids, their families OR their coaches ... but I do. Just because it’s your post-high school career wet dream to play for Alabama or Georgia, doesn’t mean that the kids in the position to choose want it.

Jealousy is a disease. You, your little friends online, and the high school teams you root for weren’t even good enough to warrant a verbal offer.

Boy you sure know a lot of people and a lot of things about recruiting, I’m impressed, by the way we’re you blessed to be recruited by schools like Georgia and Alabama?

No, I wasn’t recruited by Georgia or Alabama. I also didn’t shit on kids that were or try to minimize their accomplishments because I was jealous or upset because my favorite high school team didn’t win their conference, make it to the state championship game, or have colleges offer kids I know scholarships.

It’s a long off-season and there are a ton of Class of 2020 STL Area kids getting offered and recruited by the schools you watch on TV and dream about playing for. You should pace yourself.

Your right about two things, I should pace myself because I’m way too old to dream of playing for any of those teams. Also I do watch a lot of them on tv, everything else I suspect you don’t know near as much as you think you do.

Facts are facts and I only know what I know. You’re free to believe what you choose to. The 2018 season is a wrap and kids with the opportunity to play at the next level will decide for themselves which school they want to attend. The ones that don’t get to watch them on TV over the next few years.
