In the Clinton Trial the Dems requested a vote on a motion to dismiss all charges which failed.
If a Republican requests a motion to dismiss all charges and it passes then it’s all over. Charges are dismissed in courts every day for lack of evidence
“Obstruction of Congress “ and “Abuse of Power” are neither a High Crime or misdemeanor, Bribery or Treason and are not an impeachable offense

It's beyond Crazy that the Leftist won't send the articles to the senate and use the same Rules that applied to Clinton. I get it they have nothing of substance on Trump. Just a Media blitz of lies and half truths and their unending hate. They tried to sway the public and force the Hands of the Senate Republicans into doing what they wanted, and hoped that it would Blow up and the could feign the Moral high ground and Get Trump to resign or be removed from office.
Their Plan has been a total and utter failure. So now they wait and Hope for anything or something to happen so they can attack again.

There were witnesses in Clinton’s trial. They also watched video depositions and there were tons of documents made available to them. Almost every Dem Senator ripped Clinton publicly. Many of them came very close to favoring his removal from office.
Literally none of the Dem senators said he would not be removed from office BEFORE they heard the evidence.
That’s because Clinton actually Committed a CRIME!!!

All he had to do was tell the truth and fess up to his infidelity almost no one but the Fringe Moral Majority would of given a Crap. Then he tried to Obstruct the whole system and he did with more effort than Nixon. He should of been impeached.So How could any Dem. Senator speak out prior everyone knew he was guilty of a silly idiotic move. Then He compounded it with Lies and obstruction. If Trump had done that he would be removed for sure because really no one on the Left or Right is happy with his Bravado and do it his way attitude.
The issue with this current impeachment is that So far Zero Evidence has been put forth to Impeach Trump.The very fact that Nancy P. won't send the articles is because she knows that if a non-rigged Senate trial under the Very same articles Clinton was tried under is held it has No chance of working and will be a massive embarrassment to the House and the Dem. party. Every Senator that watched the House Impeachment process could clearly see it was a witch hunt with No substance.
As corrupt as the Senate is they at least don't want to waste their time on a stupid farce....
He lied under oath before a federal judge. Johnson, Nixon, Clinton all had committed actual crimes and were impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors

Let's see what John Bolton has to say. If he says Trump is clean, then drop it, if not then let's put it to a vote.
If Trump did nothing wrong Bolton and Mulvaney could have cleared this up two months ago. Anyone who disagrees with that is full of it.
Are they going to offer testimony on if Trump “obstructed Congress”? If so are they qualified to determine if that is a crime?

Part of his obstruction of congress is him not letting them testify. So if they testified in the house, that charge would have never been voted on. So simple.
Maybe they could testify if Pelosi is obstructing Congress and should this be impeached as well, being that the House of Representatives is above and not co-equal with the Senate,Judicial and executive branches.
Trump does not have to prove he did nothing wrong. That is law 101. That burden falls on the prosecution and that was an epic fail.
This is why censure would have been a wiser move. The House could have condemned Trump without the burden of proof. Instead they set the bar way too high when there is no actual evidence of criminal conduct.
The stupid thing is they didn’t even Accuse him of any criminal conduct in fact they didn’t accuse him of anything that she even impeachable and that’s exactly why Mitch McConnell over the weekend signed on to dismissing the articles of impeachment because there are no grounds
we will never know if there was actual evidence. Documents were not released. Witnesses were not allowed to testify. But you know this.
Exculpatory evidence was also excluded as well as any witnesses the GOP in House wanted to testify so again x gets a square.
It's the same argument as the tax return argument.
Why would Trump want to help them find more stuff to claim is problematic?
If they really think there is more there, get it! There isn't or they would have pursued every possible avenue to get it. They would rather claim the absence of proof of innocence equals guilt since they can't prove guilt.
They keep acting like the Republicans are supposed to do their job for them while not allowing the Republicans to do their own job.
