What is the perception of Missouri State football at present? Are most fans and area high school coaches satisfied with the program and see overall progress being made?

In my opinion, Missouri State and it's fans should be pleased with the progress being made. Coach Steckle has the attention, and respect of his players. If they can hold on to him as a coach, the program will continue to improve. With that being said, there is still a wide gap from where they are, to where they will need to be, in order to be in the top 1/3rd of the conference.

Generally yes. Much improved since last season. If they can take another step forward next year---well know we're getting somewhere. Attendance has been fairly good this year as well, other than the students. Because of the new tailgating in bearfest village the games have more of a "vibe" or gameday feel as well. Problem is that a majority of people at the tailgate dont actually come in to watch the games.

Coach Steck is building a quality program, that can't be done overnight. They are much improved from last season. A much better direction than Coach Allen had them headed.

Coach Allen was nearing the end of his run and Missouri State's potential leveled off and became stagnant after his first few years at the helm.
Mediocrity became expected and that was his downfall.

Program is coming along nicely. Competitive in the MVFC this year, at least in the home games. Building with high school recruits and redshirts. Would like to see them hit the JUCOs a little harder.
