Missouri Dynasty Rankings 2003 to 2018.

And yet, Webb still has a losing record to little old Kearney and Excelsior Springs. See how cherry picking works?

Here is last year's stength of schedule ranking. So you folks down South understand, THIS is a RATING of the toughest schedules in 2017 as compiled by Maxpreps:

1. Rockhurst
2. Blue Springs South
3. Ray Pec
4. Lee's Summit North
5. DeSmet
6. Park Hill
7. Jeff City
8. Pattonville
9 LSW
10. CBC
11. St. Louis U
12. Vianney
13. Staley
14. Lafayette
15. Marquette
16. Eureka
17. Lindbergh
18. Liberty, Mo
19. Kirkwood
20. Webster Groves
21. Liberty North (Kansas City)
22. Rockwood Summit
23. Jackson
24. Webb City

I will interpret this for you. Webb is WAY DOWN the LIST. You can cherry pick good victories over certain teams...but so can a lot of other teams. Week in and week out, Webb has a powder puff schedule relative to what the Class 6 teams have to face every week. An early season win agianst Rock? Really? They are a slow starting team anyway. And Blue Springs has beaten them over and over again. Perspective bro. Perspective.
that’s because Ex Springs and Kearney are seldom good enough to make it far enough in the playoffs to play a good Webb Team. How many semifinals has Kearny and X Springs been to in school history, don’t bother counting both schools combined are less than half of Webb’s.

Hell in 2003 Kearny was celebrating like they won the Super Bowl when they beat a Webb team that already had 3 losses that year.

Rockhurst at the top of your strength of schedule kind of says it all since Webb steamrolled them the two times we played. CJ gave us better games than Rockhurst did lol

I just agreed with you. You are the one finding an issue. Bahaha... Can YOU read?
Yes I saw your previous remark. Lol You mistaked my agreed comment for thinking CBC was overrated. I kinda see why these people don’t like you now though. Jesus. You didn’t correct it in time. Insert foot in mouth man.

Beating a 4-6 Rock team isn't that big of a deal.

Reading through these posts and reply’s have got me wondering. I’m not a coach, administrator or journalist etc. Just a sports fan. I don’t claim to know much about the meaning of life or who has a better Maxpreps rating. But, the whole “powder puff” scheduling subject has me wanting to clarify something. Isn’t scheduling of games based on Class and Conference/District alignments? It’s not like Webb sits back and says whoa CJ looks good this season. Don’t want none of that. But Neosho should be a cake walk, so week 6 sounds good. Does Kearney coaches say based on being close to KC our city should be moved during football season so we can only get Class 5 and 6 schools? We can move the city back when basketball starts up.

I was under the impression you played whoever falls in your Class and Conference, and fill in other teams for the remaining weeks, IF, that team also has an open week. Example Pierce City playing Joplin JV. So if you beat all the teams on your schedule, and maybe beat some convincingly, that makes your schedule weak? And if you advance through the playoffs, is your success diminished because another team, in another district, beat a team that beat this other ranked team, that makes your schedule easy or “powder puff”? Maybe if Webb was in the STL area they may not have won 14 titles. Or if Kearney was in the bootheel, they would have maybe 10 titles. You play your schedule. You advance by winning or go home and play basketball. It’s that easy.

I Love reading these posts. As far as dynasty, I’ve always thought it meant domination and success over opponents over a specified time frame. Not power rankings. Of course a Class 5 and 6 team is better than Lamar. That does not Take away those 7 titles they have won over all the comparable teams IN THEIR CLASS. That folks is a dynasty.

Keep up the posts! Keeps me entertained at work :)

I created an account just to comment on his post, you big city dudes couldn’t be further from the truth, Webb City would steam roll through most of Blue Springs schedule and most years dominate Blue Springs. They kicked the shit out of Rockhurst in a down year. They would dominate because of the coach they have. As soon as Rod leaves the program it will go back into just a solid program and not be a world beater like it’s been.
You created an account to post this drivel?

How about the year before beating a Rock team that made it to the Dome and dang near won class6???

How have you guys fared against Rockhurst, or ANY class 6 opponents for that matter??

I wonder what the dynasty ratings would look like for this decade only. I used JNreturns precious Calpreps and ran Webb vs. Rockhurst for each year. From 2003-2010, Rockhurst was projected to win 7 of 8 matchups. From 2011-2017, Webb was projected to win 6 of 7. If you just want to talk the last 10 years, Webb was projected to win 6 of 10. I know it's early this year, but Webb would be projected to win this year too.

My god...you WC faux fans are so enamored with Rock. They are an also ran in KC . There are usually 4-8 teams better than them in kc every year the past ten years.

Rockhurst was #1 in the dynasty rankings that you posted. That's the only reason I picked them for this comparison.

Mosofan is a cj fan . Always has been and never pretended to be otherwise
You are exactly right. I am a CJ fan and was at the game Friday night rooting for CJ. I do have a lot of respect for what Webb City has accomplished, and hope that we will be the team that eventually ends their district championship streak. Dont see that happening this year tho. Having respect for Webb City and their accomplishments does not make me a fan of theirs tho.
