New AP/AD at the MSWhere did the Oak Grove coach go?
Glad Corbin is staying in the conference.Trenton hired King City coach Corbin Coe as it’s new boys coach. So King City is now open
"saw" not seenJust seen where Pete McBride stepped down at Eminence.....will be staying as principal
Wasn't he the head coach at CJ a few years ago, before Brock was hired, and before he became an assistant principal?Carl Junction new coach will be Kyle Williams, Assistant Principal at CJ. A CJ administrator told me that he had coached some at Lamar.
I did some research. Kyle Williams was the head coach at CJ for 2 seasons, before he moved into administration and before Skip Brock came to CJ. Before Kyle came to CJ, he was head coach at Lamar for 2 years, and before that was a head coach out in Kansas. CJ won district championships both years that he coached here. Lamar won districts his second year there. Based on his coaching record, we should be in good hands. We just need more talent coming thru now.I don't know. That's why I asked the administrator--I wasn't sure of his bb background . They assured me CJ was in good hands. I know CJ had a District championship and good teams .
East Carter voted to bring Jordan Penn back as head coach after the community rallied around him to be rehired after the school board voted to fire him from the same position.
Good to hear for a great guy who does a great job!
Probably did no wrong other than pi$$ off the wrong BOE member(s).Always good to hear the community give their input in favor of a guy who more than likely did nothing to get fired in the first place.

Same Fred that took too long to shoot a free throw for Oran against Dixon?I just read on SEMO ball that Fred Johnson was hired at Kelly as the new boys' coach.
Yes, that Fred.Same Fred that took too long to shoot a free throw for Oran against Dixon?

I have no idea where he’s been the last several years. I did have the pleasure of briefly meeting him about five years ago at a Jv tournament in Bell City.He was down around Hartville last I heard, right? Has he been coaching? Have kids that are HS aged?
Had a son that played at Hartville and then transferred to Willard. That couldn't have been more than a few years ago. I knew Fred was working in Springfield at the time. Not sure what he was doing though.Fred is almost old enough to have grandkids in HS, in fact plenty old enough. Great guy, he can tell a good story with the best of them. Right out of the Gene Bess coaching tree, he knows how hard you need to work to be successful.
That Fred Johnson is from Wellsville, he did play at 3R too, then SMS. His son Houston played at Hartville then Willard. He was down around Hartville last I heard, right? Has he been coaching? Have kids that are HS aged?
Fred has been milk truck driver around Springfield for a LONG time now.Had a son that played at Hartville and then transferred to Willard. That couldn't have been more than a few years ago. I knew Fred was working in Springfield at the time. Not sure what he was doing though.
That's the one I was thinking of! Thanks 3R. I knew Oran didn't sound right...but too lazy to look it up. I was confused for sure. Doesn't take much with me.That Fred Johnson is from Wellsville, he did play at 3R too, then SMS. His son Houston played at Hartville then Willard.
Who was head there? Last I remember it was Ryan Meyers.Troy-Buchanan is open
