Country Day/MICDS won titles under Ron Holtman in 1974, 1979, 1983, 1985, 1986, 1996 and 2004. They have appeared in 3 title games since then losing all 3.
2005 42-0 vs. Harrisonville
2007 49-14 vs. Harrisonville
2011 56-42 vs. Webb City

MICDS appears to be the underdog this year (MICDS beat Parkway North by 3, Ladue beat PN by 33) but in the past few weeks they have found a way to win (against the "odds"). I think they'll keep it close. Should be a good game

This will be MICDS 14th title game appearance.

I missed the offensive juggernaut today I guess. I do like your score comparison though vs common opponents. Kinda like NKC 19-18 over FORT O and Staley 44-0 over NKC. Wait a minute, FORT O beat Staley 33-3. Hmm that doesn't make sense!

I get a laugh out of these posts most of the time just off logic used. Case in point, KC boys said all along WEBB would meet its match with Smithville yet the team that beat Smithville doesn't have a chance against the team whom beat WEBB by only 4 and with WEBB having 1 and a 1/2 of their starting running backs out and add in a 4th qtr fumble at the 20 leading to their winning TD. Ladue has size and some speed, not OMG speed but overall a handful of quick guys. They have some size on the line but again not OMG scary size, #50 is like 6'6 255 I believe but plays both ways and in my opinion got tuckered a little and trucked quite a few times especially on one of the blocked kicks. Ladue is good but I can't imagine with the KC crew saying how bad Smithville would roll WEBB that MICDS is just going to roll over for them..

I didn't. I said Class 2,3,4 (best teams) championships were this week a caught holy hell for it

It's not a perfect comparison but it's an easy one. Definitely flawed. MICDS definitely won't roll over but I think Ladue by 7 or 14 is a fair prediction. I'm going to watch the MICDS Smithville game but at this point it seems like MICDS' receiver #5 is their only real threat. If Ladue can shut him down, do they have any other weapons?

The 2008-10 teams had outstanding defenses. The 2010 Rock-HC title game was one of the best ever if you, like me, are an old fashioned defense first HSFB fan.

See that's kinda my thoughts on Ladue. #7 is the speedster and had a pretty hard running back in #8. The QB has a good arm and runs well. Line is big but I didn't think that physical for the dominance in size. WEBB was giving up 20-30 lbs avg and our Dline put a ton of pressure on the QB. A lot of Ladues yardage came on him scrambling and little dump passes just over the line of scrimmage and a couple deep jump balls. WEBBs dbacks which has never been a strong suit or not normally anyway had their hands on a bunch of passes just couldn't bring the ball in. Listen I'm not taking anything away from their win. They did enough to get the W. I just wasn't OMG impressed. Having not watched MICDS and only looking at their record and the fact Top and others were so high on Smithville I have to believe MICDS will give Ladue all they want. I really do believe had Henderson and Weathers been healthy WEBB wins that game convincingly. Best of luck to both teams should be a great game..
