Capes quality losses were also to smaller Class opponents as well if I recall.I think I was the only one not calling this an automatic for MICDS.I saw Cape's losses to quality opponents. MICDS playing smaller class opponents I thought it would be closer because of that.
A 5 1/2 hour drive to Cape for Fort. At least SEMO fans get to see their future quarterback Greg Menne early!
Guess I should of reworded that. It was more the quality of opponents. I ignored the Jackson rivalry game. Park Hills and Hillsboro both made it to today. Nobody MICDS played made it to this week.Capes quality losses were also to smaller Class opponents as well if I recall.
Other than Jackson. Who didn’t even make the playoffs this year and barely had a winning record if I recall.
This is a MASSSSSSIVE shocker. Get ready for the big drive, Fort fans!Guess I should of reworded that. It was more the quality of opponents. I ignored the Jackson rivalry game. Park Hills and Hillsboro both made it to today. Nobody MICDS played made it to this week.
As in all sports (see NCAA basketball tournament) sometimes the road paves right in front of you. I would be totally shocked if Cape repeats this performance next week BUT never, ever overlook anyone. Welp so much for those old Fred vs. Fort stories.............What a reward for making it to the semis. 5 1/2 hour drive right after Thanksgiving to Cape.
Although, I went to the Kennett vs. Odessa game the same weekend three years ago and took care of business. Odessa had as many fans as Kennett and I'm sure Fort will have as many or more than Cape. Hope they have enough seating. It is funny that SEMO is the school where Fort's starting QB will be next year.
By the looks of their stadium, it seats 2,500-3,000 plus standing room. What a reward for making it to the semis. 5 1/2 hour drive right after Thanksgiving to Cape.

It's fairly new too. Looks good from I-55.By the looks of their stadium, it seats 2,500-3,000 plus standing room.
I’m sure that will be enough.
I wanna say for the longest time they were sharing a field with SEMO for their home games and then about 10ish(?) years ago they finally built a brand new facility for the HSIt's fairly new too. Looks good from I-55.
Sounds right. I'm sure they will be good hosts. Plus one can grab some throwed rolls and all the fixins as a bonus.I wanna say for the longest time they were sharing a field with SEMO for their home games and then about 10ish(?) years ago they finally built a brand new facility for the HS
Fort gets a 5-1/2 drive to Cape and Howell gets a similar drive to Carthage. These teams literally making a giant X across the state. Meanwhile Fort is about 2hrs from Carthage and I bet Cape is less than that from Howell.I think I was the only one not calling this an automatic for MICDS.I saw Cape's losses to quality opponents.
