Advance's performance in the Holiday Tournament indicates they make be under-ranked.
I've seen Raytown a couple of times. Suprised their not ranked.
Liberty? Not at all impressed.

Rankings mean very little. Take for instance Class 4 Hillsboro. It took a loss for them to break into the Top 10. Hard for people to cast votes when they have only seen limited number of teams.

I stopped looking at the poll when I saw Stanberry ranked ahead of Hartville. What a joke. The only way you could come up with that is if you didn't take the nine seconds you would need to look up who Hartville played.

I'm not even a Hartville fan, but come on. That's why I Hate these polls. They never reward a program for playing a tough schedule or meaningful games.

Hartville beat Class 5 Hazelwood Central, a really good team. Lost to two really good Class 5 teams in Glendale and Parkview and has beaten Clever, Fair Grove, Catholic, Mt View Liberty and Licking -- all really good teams.

They have another Class 5 road game at Nixa on their schedule as well as Mt Grove.

Now just for fun, let's see who Stanberry has played.

Class 1 Mound City 4-5 W
Class 1 NE. Nodaway 4-5 W
Class 3 Bishop LeBlond 1-6 W
Class 1 Albany 1-6 W
Class 1 NHarrison 2-6 W
Class 1 Albany 1-6 W
Class 1 King City 3-3 W
Class 1 Worth County 6-3 W
Class 1 Worth County6-3 L

That's right, nine games in they have played eight Class 1 games, and one Class 3 team and ONE team with a winning record. Who they lost to.

I guess it's good to know most coaches are in the same place most parents are -- did we
Win or lose, that's all we need to know.

Okay rant over.

Class 5 #2 LS West and #7 Park Hill both suffered their 1st losses of the season last night. Both to conference teams.

Waiting to see when Wellington-Napoleon will break the Class 2 top 10.

Since losing their first game in triple OT to Lawson, they've won 10 straight including the I70 Confernce tournament and the MRVC East/I-70 tourney. They've also had big wins against some Class 3 and 4 teams beating Odessa, Oak Grove, and Higginsville (who were 10-0 before they lost to WN). They ended up 3rd place in state last year and lost some starters, but kept a good core to carry into this year.

I agree. Hartville beat an undefeated Licking that was ranked #2 in C3. They were competitive in their two losses in the Blue & Gold Tournament.

Here are their games:
Class 3-MV/BT Liberty (9-5) W-69-35
Class 2 Sparta W 51-20
Class 3 Fair Grove (11-4) W 69-64 OT
Class 3 Clever W 61-55
Class 2 Fordland (11-4) W-67-35
Class 2 Seymour (6-2) W 72-46
Class 5 Hazelwood Central (10-3) W 88-80
Class 2 Norwood (1-3) W 59-26
Class 3 Ava (4-8) W 78-40
Class 3 Springfield Catholic W 52-46
Class 5 Glendale L 83-70
Class 5 Parkview L 70-58
Class 3 Licking (12-1) W 58-54
Class 2 Willow Springs (5-6) W 68-40

This is a good resume and good showing against these teams. Very deserving of the #1 ranking in C2.
