They should have sought asylum in the first country they came to. In the case of those from Central America that should have been Mexico, NOT the United States.
Something like only 20% of those seeking asylum are eligible for it. Asylum is just the excuse they use to enter illegally.
True asylum seekers are not illegal, but if you cross the boarder before being approved for asylum then you are illegal. Our immigration system as it stands needs to be fixed, but neither party has the stomach to fix it, they both would rather keep what we have that isn't working, and both are just as guilty of these deaths neither has any high ground to stand on. Currently the biggest thing I see is right now is we as a country encourage illegal immigration we encourage these people to risk their lives and their children's lives to try to come to our boarder. We do that by letting people think think that once they enter our country they are free and never have to go back, it is the golden ticket, and it should not be.
Right now Duck you and the Dems are just as guilty for that little child's death and Trump and the Pups if you want to point a finger at somebody you need to look in the mirror, because you are one of the ones waiving the golden ticket encouraging those parents to risk everything even death to come here.
I think you should be able to apply for asylum in the country of your origin, we need more immigration judges and courts to speed up the process this takes way to long. And we need to pass a law if you enter illegally then you will never be granted asylum do not pass go. It needs to be a law, right now our electoral system also encourages this, because those running for president encourage it. Every Democratic who raised their hand when asked would you give free health care to illegal immigrants are just as responsible for those deaths as Trump. You don't think immigrants don't hear about that and think hey if the Dems get elected things will go back to the way they were and illegal immigration will be the norm again. They are pandering to their base and playing with children's lives in the process I know you don't want to hear that but you know it is true, end of story, .

No child died at the border for 10 years. Now 6 have. The Dems havent changed. Only the president and his minions. Grow up Bullitt.
How could you possibly know that no children died at the border???? Do you honestly believe that 10 years ago if a family was swimming across the river and one of their children drowned it was covered by CNN??
Duck I am trying to engage you with facts cold hard facts not what the news media wants to paint. Currently a recent figure of 1 Million illegal immigrants that have already had their hearing and been denied are still at the border, they should have left but they haven't....I have to ask you Duck Why??? --- It's because it is commonly known that the U.S. does not expend very much energy deporting illegal immigrants once inside the US. (the golden ticket) ---That's why the #1 strategy, often at any risks and costs, is to get across the border because once there you are good. Than means they don't care they will do it by any method, by any route, by any lie, by any and all means necessary....to get across the border. Illegal immigrants and the world already know this. If you can get across the border your odds are very high that no one will ever come to look for you, even if you are denied entry and asylum end of story!!
I tried to find some good stats but hard to find since the liberal news does not want to report those, they only want to sensationalize the deaths. But it looks like deaths are down right now. Lower than even when Obama was President!! So holding them at the border is working no matter what you want to believe. Yes any death is horrible but again as long as you want to promise people crossing the border anything and everything once they get here you are not going to stop it.

So you are saying that kid that died crossing the border was in Trumps care? You moving the goal post now?
I apologize I thought you were talking overall deaths. So we can get on the same page what is your proposal to fix this? If you let them in more people will die trying to cross. Would you be happy with that trade off? Do you care about fixing the immigration policy overall or just the deaths in the camps?
They have them stacked up like sardines. Our government can move mountains. Find or build temporary housing until things get better. Then quit kissing Putin's butt and meet with folks in South America to figure out how we can help them keep their citizens from fleeing to the U.S. Unless of course you dont want them to stop because its good politics for you.

Nothing is going to stop this right now until we change how we treat illegal immigration along with our immigration court system. Right now people who make it across the boarder send stories back home of a land of unstoppable riches and if that if you make it you are good to go. When you have Presidential candidates going on TV saying yes I will give illegal immigrants free health care anything they need, if they make it across the boarder you are only encouraging that sort of behavior!!
I agree that would be helpful, but most of those governments are corrupt, and would only take the money and do very little to fix any issues. A few months ago I had some brick work done, one of the guys that was on the crew was here illegally. We got to talking and he said his family is trying to get here, he has told them once they get past the border they are good. He said he does not worry about being here illegally because we just will not deport you once here the chances are very slim. He said being here is so much better than the country he came from that he would risk anything to get here and he tells others the same. That is what you have to stop!!

You can't seriously think none of these deaths were kids.
Here is the thing, liberals and Duck as well the media justifies those death as okay because they were not being held in detention centers. The real stats don't bring in viewers like putting a picture of a poor dead dad and baby girl on front page of a paper or leading with that on TV. It is all about what sells let's forget the facts.
It isn't that it sells. It's that it promotes the narrative they want for the 3Rs and Ducks of the world to have.
