Sounds like X years back. Forced me to ratio followers/following until I reached 10K.
achievement unlocked? does everything have to video game based these days?
I frequent the University of Kentucky version Rivals "Cats Illustrated". Like this board, not much in the summer though. Evidently they've had quite the issue too.
That is good to know because it dilutes the possibility someone local is doing this. Would be real, real interested to learn why they feel these boards are good targets?
Does that board have any famous people from sports documentaries??
Mind all I still have several questions before dismissing anything but have to admit I may (grossly) underestimate the AI tech that actually exists now.
Maybe you were getting to close and so they spread out their attack to throw you off your local trail
Make no mistake EVERYTHING remains on the table just not sure how we will ever prove any of it. Piggybacking off what otherwise would be a simple bot attack is possible if one knows what to do. As far as spreading to other sites it appears, in all fairness, a couple have been dealing with this as long as we all have.
Regardless, again, we are still T-minus one month to kickoff so holding out hope this gets fixed by then if not a week or two sooner! Continuing to report these to Rivals as I can.

Anything that actually draws any attention is their target. Though they do prefer to not target HIGH visibility items as they know that the chances of their attack being reported and blocked by a real solution is a lot more likely. They just need clicks and you to enter your data into their system.

Unignore all the old mid July accounts it will give you room to ignore these current ones BUT Rivals must crack down on this beginning tomorrow!
I am slowly removing the old bots. Just so I can ignore the new ones. Lol
Temporary fix because, if Rivals lets this continue, they will overwhelm the site which I think is their REAL goal anyway. Given bman's info I am actually going to the Bangladesh government site on X to report this and see if they will care (highly unlikely but what the heck worth a longshot try).
This is like having to clean out all those "inspirational quotes" followers on twitter (X) that magically became Asian porn months back. It took me circa one week to clean it all out because I have almost 20,000 followers on my blue check account there.
Still doing occasional (working today and tomorrow so a slow process) clean up of the old bots to make room for new until this gets fixed.
