Get our while you can. Is he upset with Syria decision?

Possibly one of the last left in the administration to have a “steady hand” and level head.

Lets see. Wednesday: Trump hands Syria over to Iran and Putin. Thursday: Mattis resigns saying his views are not aligned with the President (per his resignation letter).
No brainer.

I just heard someone say something about they’re wondering what the stock market will look like tomorrow? Also mentioned how things are starting to feel like Watergate more and more.

The walls Trump should be worried about are the ones closing in on him.

Mattis should've run for Rep. President in 2016. Oh...the smear kept the great general from trying at all.

I wouldn't support Trumps decision but watching the libs whine about ending a military operation is hysterical. Then they claim Mattis was a great guy! Seems like when he was nominated you guys were telling us how crazy and war hungry he was.

The American military has been at war in Aphganistan for 17 years and are no closer to victory than Russia or England ever were. It’s time to pack up and leave and stop wasting money and blood, or actually declare war and go in with overwhelming force and secure the country (which will never happen)

Same thing in Syria, we have had people in there over three years, time to either declare war and finish it or pack up and get the hell out.

I can agree with either getting serious or getting out. But I would think it would be wise to listen closely to those who have some experience in war-related issues on how to leave &/or get serious. Not listen to some dude from Turkey.

Most of the folks on our side are all for getting out and stop being the world's policeman. However, conferring with people who have ACTUALLY BEEN OVER THERE is a must. Trump is an idiot.

He apparently discussed it with his Secretary of Defense then totally ignored his advice and said via twitter that it would be a rapid and complete pullout of our forces. I think the biggest complaint from Mattis, and others, is that we are totally abandoning our allies, the Kurds, fighting with us and will leave them to be wiped out by Turkish forces. Also the fact that Trump claims ISIS has been defeated and we have won so we're bringing our troops home. How can we expect ANY of our allies to ever help us again if we do this in the fashion Trump says to do it?

Do you think everyone would agree? Do you know Trump didn't talk to the leaders and Mattis wanted to stay while others didn't?
I always want to stay longer than necessary to be cautious. Everyone I trust say we shouldn't pull out. I'm NOT with Trump on this BUT, you always assign ill motives. I wonder what CNN is reporting on this? Next time CNN says ANYTHING positive about Trump, post it for me.

Fox & Friends morning show folks went off on Trump about this. I'm sure it's just about liberals whining though.

Nice to know that the word of foreign leaders is trusted more that POTUS “advisors.” But, POTUS does know more than his generals.
That leader is president of our only NATO partner in that part of the world

When Obama refused to back up his red line in the sand with Asad he just gave Syria to Russia. Short of the USA going to war with Russia to settle it there isn’t any reason to be there. Go big or go home

I have no problem with going big or going home. But to ignore the advice of your own generals (advisors - put quotes around that - does he actually have any advisors that he pays even a lick of attention?). But, then again, he did warn us that he knows more than his generals.

Yeah and he didn't even know the guy in the Pentagon that was in charge of our ISIS fight that just quit.

Who was he negotiating for? Dude had been there for a long time.
He was appointed to that position by Obama and had resigned weeks ago due mid February so it’s not like he was planning on seeing the job through to start with. I would have fired him when he resigned, the last thing we need is a quitter negotiating for the USA. Besides ISIS is just the JV
