Jesus, might as well bench the starters at the end of the first quarter in that case. Games should never go that far lol.

They did sit starters just after the second quarter started and had 10 different kids score

A few years back Maryville pulled their starters after the fourth drive. The JV played the remainder of the half and the freshman played the 2nd half. I believe the freshman scored 3-4 TDs.
I got beat 72 to 0 when I was an assistant coach you talking about
being humilated for a bunch of good kids it is tough trying to explain
to them there is value in getting beat to a pulp. MSHSAA always preaches
educational value through sports I am sure Cameron feels they got great value
out of being beat like that.

Exactly my point, don't get me wrong, everyone knows I'm not a Cameron fan, but lord. At some point you've gotta pull the reins back.
You can say what you want to about freshman being in or what not, but if thats the case, then put in the damn freshman back up and show some class, it's a no brainer really.
Unless you're a coach that just gets a kick out continually kicking someone when they're down.
I think when a school is always bad year in year out they really need to
re think about trying something else. Example Louisania High school won
5 games in 8 years have 20 kids out each year mainly under classmen havn't
won a conference game since 2009. Many other examples where they do something
as a district just so they have it but nobody cares about any positive results.

We where beating Crystal City 42 to 0 after first quarter Coach Jim Cook the classiest
coach ever ran QB up the middle with our JV team the last 3 QTR final score 42 to 0.
The other coach was very happy that we treated them with great respect and the lesson
to our guys treat opponents with respect. I know can't tell your guys to quit playing hard
but as a coach you can control what is done.

You put in your backups and run between the tackles. If the JV and freshmen keep scoring, that's the opponent's fault. A coach has no control over whether the opponent's defense makes tackles.
Your exactly right. We need to make sure to teach all of these young men that it's okay to run the score up if the team is just that bad. hahaha. okay then

Maryville is a team of classless asshats. No reason for 92 to be up in board. Can't wait until they get a taste of their own medicine.

emphasis on keep scoring is wrong I don't care if the cheer leaders
are playing you do things to not score or you score slowly. Anybody
that thinks all schools care about how good their sports are you are
fooling yourself but the kids are the ones you care about. Go talk to
a Cameron player and see how getting beat that bad was.

Yes you do you quit scoring that simple it isn't rocket science you quit scoring.
My goodness it isn't that hard. If Maryville thinks it is okay to do that I feel very
sorry for them. They have built an awesome program dont ruin it with such nonsense

My apologies, the fact that they scored another 60 points after the first quarter makes it okay just because the starters weren't in.

You have to understand these two teams. Maryville is very good, from starting varsity down to their kindergarten team. They've been that was for a few years now. Cameron's last win was.. (anyone? anyone?) week 1 vs Plattsburg 2014. I expected two things to happen.. 1) Maryville would win huge, and 2) Our annual discussion about this topic that happens every time someone wins big.
8 man mercy rule should be adopted for 11 man.
Anytime a team is ahead by 50 during the second half, the game should be over at that point.
I have seen it happen like this before. Sad part is neither team can feel good about it.
I would like to see that. Lamar is the baddest program second only to Webb.

May happen again... So expensive to live in Maryville less and less families can afford it. (Same reason there is 7 other high schools in same county)
Nodaway County is pretty big though to be fair. All of the other schools there are 8 man schools I believe and I don't see any Maryville parents wanting their kids to play 8 man. Now the other sports, I could totally see that.
one, I was at the game, two turnovers by the punter, one snap was over his head went into endzone should have took the safety but fumbled in endzone, another had the punt taken off his toe for a td, a 90 yard int for a td hurt, a couple of fumbles by backs didn't help, Cameron tried to run but couldn't move the ball, Maryville had backups in, not sure when, Maryville could score at will on offense, I have been on both sides of the situation, take pride and try to get better or you can lay down, life is not easy, butt whoopings happen, get better, yes we could have a mercy rule at fifty, make things look better, but
and on the comment that people cant afford to live in Maryville, then move, I lived in the ville for a long time, but your telling me people are moving then they must be old with no kids because you have south nod cooping with Jefferson, you have north nod coop with west nod, nod holt coops with south holt, I don't know if ne went with Stanberry but there was talk with that, so you got people moving but those schools cant even field their own teams, bs, you have to pay the piper, if you want nice things you have to pay for it,
