Pierce City has 9 - 45 all-time record against Stockton (a number I made up, but it's close). Any win over the Tigers is wonderful; class 2 power or not.
This is a great district. Shadows of the old WEMO and Midwest conferences.
kaching, I haven't watched any of the Comet games since PC's, but they have all seemed closer than they should've been. For reference, just prior to the Marionville game, Miller lost by five scores to Pierce City.
Everything on the line this rematch is likely to spread. There are a few 4-5 vs. 1s in C2-6 Districts, however, I would definitely keep my eye on.
C6 D7 is a pair of huge rivalry rematches. I think both could swing either way. C6 D6 next week could be another for its title.................
I'll take Midway over Ash Grove. Windsor is salty, should be a good game. Yes, the old Midwest conference was nails from mid 70's til it's demise in mid 80s. Many state champs and state semi teams.
I'm not sold on Windsor. Great record but they had a weak schedule this year. I do agree that Midway beats Ash Grove but by a slim spread.
I agree schedule was not strong, but outside of marionville and Stockton, PC schedule not great. Windsor lost by 1 to to a Butler squad that may win their district. I know these Windsor kids, they are gritty and are well coached.
