I'm admittedly not in the know with regard to the STL area schools, but this still came as a shock to me...

This the Same Maplewood who was contending against Lamar in Class 2 a few years back?
Does not matter who the Team is whether its Greenfield or any MoTeam. It's sad to see a program go like that...

The Blue Devils are coming off a 3-7 season and went 4-16 the last two years.

But between 2007-11, the Blue Devils went 59-9, won four district championships, made three Class 2 state semifinal appearances and were the 2010 state runner-up. Maplewood finished the 2010 season with a 14-1 record, losing only in the title game.

In 2012, Maplewood reached the state quarterfinals and finished 11-3.

MRH has had a couple of different coaches lately Brandon Gregory was suspend during the 2011 season and Sterling Finney took over. Then next year I think it Rich Nixon was named coach.

If you have ever read the high school message board on St Louis Post Dispatch then you would know the rumors that were associated with MRH. They supposedly had several players from outside the school district that use to play for them and supposedly the school administration started cracking down on this a couple of years ago.

Two things:

1) if the school was cracking down on kids outside of school district, good for them.

2) Richard Nixon won a couple of state titles at hazelwood central so I doubt it was coaching.

Under your Richard they were the most undisciplined and penalized team in Missouri.

Are you sure of that? The Richard Nixon I know does not tolerate any bull$#!+. However, I do know for a fact they were an officials nightmare a few years back before Richard had anything to do with the program.

Heard the boys home that took in a lot of troubled kids closed down a couple of years ago. There were more than accusations about illegal players.

Is there enrollment to much for 8 man?

Probably too big but even if not...but who would they play? All the 8-man schools are in Northwest Missouri and that would make for some "hellish" travel for a St. Louis team.
