Fans at Hugh Dunn Field start the season with the highest of expectations following the Macon Tigers semi-final playoff run a season ago. The Tigers battled, but eventually fell to Class 2 champion Hamilton (Penney) a step away from their ultimate goal.
"We return more letterman (29) then in any of our previous eight years", commented head coach Pete Claas. "We also return 15 starters from last year's 12-2 state semi-final team. Expectations are very high among our team and our community for this season."
