Mac county over Monett? ??

Yes it is, Mac is much improved. The Big 8 is brutal this year
Two words. Sean McCullough. Assistants normally don't get a lot of credit, and Sean wouldn't want the notoriety. But this guy at least deserves a nod for what is going on at Mac. Returned home to teach and coach some three or four years ago, IIRC. Immediately started building a weights program and has the kids at Mac excited about getting stronger, more explosive, and more athletic. Kids love him and his work ethic is next to none, and it's showing at Mac. As long as Coach McCullough is involved, I'd expect Mac to continue improving and growing their numbers. One chunk at a time.

The big 8 is VERY balanced this year except for Lamar at the top and EN at the bottom. ANY of the rest can beat ANY of the rest. It is yet to be determined if it is strength or mediocrity.

The way the brackets set up one of the teams will prolly make the semis but no clue on who

Not to sure anyone could call the Big 8 brutal this year. One really good team in Lamar, and the rest are average to poor. Parity might be the word to use this year, with the Tigers being the exception. Aurora looks to be on the rise, and could be a spoiler in the district, if Seneca slips any at all. Several competitive games, but not anybody to get excited about in the class 3 group.

The Mox loves when a coach comes on the boards to talk about himself in Third Person. Good for you Coach...keep up the good work! The Mox will be rooting you on!

Seneca is #4 in class 3, would say they are above average to this point.

It would be good if they can live up to that ranking, at the end of the season. If they do, it doesn't reflect well on the level of play, in class 3, in our section of the state.

Seneca or Aurora will make C3 semi's. Seems like every year the Big 8 has a C3 team deep in the playoffs. Additionally the Big 8 is 12-3 against non-conference opponents. I'd say facts show the conference is still pretty good.

Dont Worry Eagle Balls, The Mox is just jealous of your work. He only wishes to have the success with his law firm that you have with the position you coach. I have heard/read/seen some really great things even all the way up here in Ampipe, PA!
I am hungry for some chicken wings, is it lunch time yet?

There is no jealousy at all! The Mox can appreciate a dude who talks about himself in 3rd person.
There are some great places to get wings in Texas STEPH. Come on down!!

That may happen. If it does, my point is proven. Class 3 is the place to be, if you have an average team, and want to go deep in the play-offs.

I only want wings from one place ... I dont think i need to get to Texas for them. and i will ignore how you spelled my name.
I bet that place is the Ampipe pool hall!!!!

Hey Mox! How is the law firm!?

Where have you been all day Bosko?!? Me and STEPH have been holding down the fort! I feel like Shoot90 did in the summer time!
Weve got some big orders coming through the mill right now. I gotta make sure my crews are getting the work orders filled. Just like I make the football players get to class on time!

ok,so i have a question. Has this asst coach been at mac with the past 3 HC's? was he not coaching football? Is it a deal that this is his first year coaching football after doing just weights the last couple years? and that made the kids come out?

because if he has been coaching the past couple of years then this paragraph , makes no sense. The numbers we around 25 (if that) last year. But like i said, if this is his first year actually coaching football then i will give this paragraph a little more credit. just trying to get some answers.

LOL FourPlay what do you have against the class 3 football schools in SWMO. Were you fired by one of them or several. You are the one that spewed this same crap last year and was proven wrong. You were wrong then Monett went on to win class 3. I tend to think Seneca or possible Aurora have a good chance to make it to the Semis or finals this year.

Last year you said
"I would tend to agree with the guys from the north. Class 3 in Southwest Missouri is not as good as it has been. With Lamar being the exception, The Big 8 is probably as bad as it has been in the last 20 years. Yes, I have seen all 8 teams play."

Cassville beat Reeds spring and St. James both outta conference, both Class 3 and both 5-2! Cassville is 4-3
Mv also beat reeds spring and Springfield catholic class 3 6-1
Seneca beat Osage 4-3 class 3
Lamar just whooped Valle catholic.
Monett beat both their outta conference games as did Mac county.
I guess what I'm getting at is the level of football might be down but the Big 8 is still one of the premier small conferences in the state! One thing I think about class 3 is that Lamar has set the bar so high that everyone thinks Class 3 is terrible because nobody could beat Lamar! A side from Lamar and Trinity put the top 10 class 2 schools against the top 10 class 3 and I bet class 3 wins 8 outta 10! I take a lot of pride being from Monett, The Big 8, and mostly SWMO! Meet some people at the lake this year from Hermann! We were talking football, mostly about Webb City and Lamar and one thing the guy said to me is they take football a lot more serious down in SWMO, more then they do anywhere else in the state and I took a lot of pride in that! One thing no one has really talked about is how young Seneca is! They could be building so special down there.

So Fourplay: If a Big 8 team does well, it proves your point that things are down in SW Missouri and the Big 8 isnt really that good? If a team does not do well, it proves your point that the Big 8 isnt really that good? Really? Are you related to Veer?
