Still not true. Coaches absolutely want the best seed they can get and the best possible matchups. Especially is very strong districts. Anyone that thinks differently hasn’t been a head coach

The vast majority of districts are not very deep so we will have to agree to disagree on this one. I have never been and never will become a FB coach. Simply not qualified and don't have the patience for it. Hats off to all of you who take it on..............

It would simply be silly to not be trying to get the best seeding as possible. Especially when a bye week and a chance to get healthy could mean the difference in being a championship level team or not.

I've been going over (prep for the next contest etc.) all 20 districts of note in this region do see what you all are saying about the bye if available. Most of the top teams are gonna qualify for those regardless. The point system is the root cause of "running up the score". Count this partially as my bad for not realizing how many districts are less than 8 teams..............

It’s the exact same with MICDS and anyone left in the metro that will still play them. They do that shit to tiny Lutheran South, it’s sad to watch.
