Lutheran North 46 - Festus 7 (FINAL)

1st & 10 North
Pass underthrown and incomplete

2nd & 10 at their own 42 with 7:08 left in half
That was a nice catch. Tight coverage and he had to work for it

1st & 10 North at the Tiger 36
QB fumbles the snap again and picks it up and still runs for the first down, is drove out of bounds by Tiger defender and the defender takes him all the way into one of the sponsor signs about 8 yards out of bounds 🤣🤣🤣 for the personal foul

Aren't most homes 'single family'?

I don't understand what his point is.

6 yard passing TD on the next play.

2 pt no good on offensive PI(it was an obvious call)

2 pt retry is good on a really good catch contested

30-0 North with 6:20 left in 2Q

QB keeps on the read option for 5 yards

2nd & 5 at the 50 for the Tigers

QB keeps on the roll out with a rush and puts his shoulder down for 2 yards

3rd & 3
Give up the middle for 2 yards

4th & a long 1
Up the middle and stuffed about a foot past the LOS

North takes over at their own 46 with 3:27 left in half

What is the point of this? It seems like no one at LN cares about this team. They have no town or community to support them. Of course they are going to beat regular public schools.
They barely beat two of them, though. PN was case of their transfer QB being beyond fired up plus LN playing as sloppy as it gets. Kearney clearly is the cream of the public C4 crop and actually played them tight in a very, very well played game.

MSHSAA needs to fix it but don't hold your breath.

Shallow kick returned by Festus to their own 46

1st & 10 Tigers with 2:35 left
Up the middle for 9

2nd & 1
Another give for no gain

3rd & 1
Another give for 2 yards and a first

1st & 10 Tigers at the North 44 with 1:30 left in half

2nd & 9
Great catch and fought two defenders trying to drag him down for a 7 yard gain

3rd & 2
Give up the middle for the first down

1st & 10 at the North 33 with 25 seconds and Festus with a 33 yard TD pass but no TD signal and they threw a flag

Festus would be getting hammered by Kearney (and possibly PN) too. They need to seed after districts if this is the format we are getting for the foreseeable future. I'd argue seed when 16 teams are left to avoid geography dictating the Final 2, 4, 8. Need to avoid these types of games as much as possible.

I hate excuses but Kearney would play and look way faster on this field sans snow today. That being said this LN bunch is definitely #1 in this class would likely win anyway because of their own speed and ability to pop that long ball.

I agree. Would have liked to see them play North under better field conditions, but that’s the way it goes sometimes.
