West making it 3rd straight championship match and 5th in 6 years pales compared to their coach who made it 8 straight with 3 different schools, and 10 in the last 11. Even in that off year her team made the final four. BTW eight champions in that stretch. Tonight it will be tough to get the 9th against the juggernaut, undefeated defending champs from Lafayette.

Pretty remarkable run, but you are right. It will be tough to beat Lafayette as they had a nice lead on Lafayette last night and let them slip away. Lafayette has yet to lose a set this year, much less a match.

......knocked the wind out of the LSW sails.

I told my wife, who attended all four state championship games with me, to watch how and see if LSW comes out flat in the 2nd set and they did. The Titans tried to make a comeback but Lafayette was just too tough in the end.

The LSW coach was quite entertaining to watch in the bench area.
