Jontay Porter has hired an agent and declared for the NBA draft.

Jontay needs one more year. When I saw him in high school as a freshman and I thought he had the potential to be a very good NBA player. Has the body to put on muscle and be an inside out guy which fits well in today's NBA. Needs another year to develop though to make it in the NBA and not get lost in a deep organization. Going Late 1st round early 2nd usually means G-league or overseas like stated before.

Normally I'd argue it depends on the draft class, but in Jontay's case this might actually be true. He's very young comparatively. Although, I still think the NBA would just as rather get the player and train them themselves. Jontay is a prototype of what an NBA "big" is becoming. I can't imagine any NBA exec not thinking he's a contributor in a couple of years. And truthfully, I don't see him being better prepared by staying and playing at MU.
