Looks like it is Fowler

Eagles_Ball: Do something Cardinals, don't just sit there.
Eagles_Ball: No not that.
I explained it in another thread. But basically only adding Fowler doesn't do enough. I would rather they just have stood their ground and attacked the next FA class (which is much deeper). If they go out and get a corner IF'er that can hit in the middle of the lineup, then signing Fowler was worth giving up the 1st round pick. If not, I think it's a mistake.

Btw...I can't recall that ever being my stance. If anything, I was in favor of trying to use some of the ample pitching depth to package in a trade for their needs. But if they can sign another to go along with Fowler, then they accomplished that and only gave up the 1st and 2nd round pick.

I disagree. This will by good move. We do need a first
baseman with power as well. How about Jose Bautista.

I'd say the pitching depth is very much in question. One coming off an AWFUL year + injury, one coming off TJ surgery, one getting old, one gone and a newbie that hasn't proven he can go 6 or 7 in a start. Where is all that depth if ALL the question marks don't pan out on the up side?

I agree with Eagle. If we are really "All in"
We will sign a big bat and try to win the division.

If we aren't we just wasted money and should have just let kids play. And we should consider unloading some of our veterans next June/July and get more prospects for the future.
