Thanks NM I was going to ask why other counties don't have this problem. Not sure but I would guess that a little research on gun violence would show the good ole USA leads the league. Not sure why that would be the case!

Other countries DO have the problem. They left all violent countries off of the chart. IF you look at homicides per 100 people and include all countries the USA isnt even close to the top of the list

Well, if you want to benchmark the country against Colombia, Mexico, and Syria, that's your call, but I think it's fairer to compare us to Canada, Japan, Germany, the UK, and nations with similar levels of economic development and stability.

Somehow I doubt you would feel the same way if someone argued it was ok for our economic development to be 50% of the EU because we're still higher than Mexico, Colombia, and Syria.

Isnt it funny that we dont compare our crime rate to Mexico, Honduras, Nicaraqua, Guatemala, Columbia because they are crime ridden subcultures,,,,,,,,,,,but we leave our border wide open to let the people from those countries enter our country illegally. The hispanicscrossing our border are each and every one criminals , if not before they cross the border they are as soon as they cross without a passport and visa.

The love of guns is so out of control we have innocent people gunned down in church, 22,000+ people die from gun accidents or gun suicide each year---that number is overwhelmingly higher than the number of times guns are actually used for self-defense. And we haven't even gotten to street violence, domestic violence , workplace shootings and other mass killings yet.

you dont have any idea how many times a gun is used in self defense, the only data they have is how many times someone actually fired a gun in self defense and police reported it. Nobody has a clue how many people are ork right now with a gun by their bed because two escape convicts are roaming loose. Every one of those should be counted every night as a gun used in self defense.

and I could care less how many white, black, or hispanic gang members shoot themselves with a gun. More of them gone the better off we are. Funerals are a lot cheaper than jail time
