Best chance to win a NC was a few years ago with Baker at QB but their defense was suspect then also. ISU is tough against big opponents. Playing in Ames has been kiss of death for some programs. Then they lose to someone they should beat at times.

It's not like LA-Lafayette is hot garbage, but that's not a good loss by any means. Ever. Iowa St is nothing special. If you lose to Iowa St and K-State in consecutive weeks, you're nothing special either.
