Liberty North vs North Kansas City

So headline should be "Average Liberty North team goes to 7-2 after 57-0 win"? ;)
Evidence they are average:
Blue Springs South beats them 38-6
Staley beats them 21-0
Beating Raytown only 14-9.

But you have to say things look up considering they beat Fort Osage and now have a 57-0 win. Maybe they just got better has the season as gone along? I know that is a strange concept to some, but it might be the case. Watch out for their younger underclassmen. Their 8th and 9th graders are going to classes to watch.

I'm not sure how or if they do tie-breakers, but I think the Eagles are co-Conference champions with Fort and Staley. That is certainly above average.

I was throwing that out there because that was the narrative early in the year when Liberty North upset Kearney. I think 7-2 is well above average. To me average means there pretty much as many teams in your class better than you than worse. I don't know that there are even 10 teams in Class 5 that you could say are better than LN, especially a week out from beating the #1 team.

Wow.. I wouldn't have guessed that at all.
While none of the IL teams are contenders statewide yet I think the league has improved immeasuribly in the past couple of years. Look at some of the results these two have achieved this year PLUS Northeast pushed Plattsburg and Southwest is becoming lots better, too. Major props should go out to prepskc.com for their outstanding coverage of our KC inner city schools!

It does switch things up in the district, making it much more plausible for Richmond to jump East for the 3 seed (with a win tonight obviously) and then placing East and Lincoln Prep to play again next week as the 4 and 5 seed.

If Richmond loses tonight, it makes it very tight between them and Lincoln Prep for the 4 and 5 seed, and East would be the 3. That is the only movement left in district 8, but it is all in an effort to avoid Maryville for a week longer.

Glad to see the IL improving. So much raw talent..

Yes I see. Solid team for sure. I don't think they ever make it past Staley in the playoffs. But they are a strong team.
