Lies you love itThis will teach me to peek in at the Football board in JANUARY.............
valle will be class 3 after next year anyways. I mean no matter what the honks say their districts are a complete and utter joke unless an STL superteam slips in there somehow. I doubt the football advisory folks let that happen again.I would say that if they did this, it would add a class to how far the success factor can bump them up, so in Ritters case, Class 6
In Valle’s case, Class 3(probably)
About 2% of schools in 11 man football would win a state title. Sooooooooo watered down 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Enrollment Breaks are
Class 1 is 91-181 44 Teams (duchesne is the top moving them to C2)
Class 2 is 188-300 44 Teams
Class 3 is 301-439 43 Teams
Class 4 is 447 - 604 44 Teams
Class 5 is 607 - 958 43 Teams
Class 6 is 973 - 1257 44 Teams

Every class has 43 or 44 teams
Will need 8 Districts with 5 or 6 teams in them in each class

Can I get an amen.

If I remember correctly, Kansas may have 6 classes but their classes are also split into something like sub classes so there are multiple state champions in each class. Or at least that was my understanding as of a few years ago.
I wasn’t sure. I knew in some of their smaller classes they had small and large divisions and I thought they crowned state champs for each. This is not the case. They crown only one state champion per class. Semifinal winners are called “Sub-State Champions” but that’s the same as saying “semifinal champions.”
Oklahoma has Class 6A-I, Class 6-A-II, 5A, 4A, 3A, 2A, 1A, B, and C or 9 Classes counting 8 manArkansas and Illinois have 7 and Oklahoma has 5.
I’m not for or against 7 classes for Missouri. Doesn’t matter to me either way.
If in some weird way, it helps preserve as many 11 man programs as possible, I wouldn’t fuss too much.

As presented here yes. It’s the same as every other class
As presented here yes.
MSHAA's abomination? I dont see any other classes with 500 mile district games.
I still think this was the best system we had - 4 team districts, top 2 move on. If you had a loaded district, it let 2 good teams move on. If you aren't in the top 2, then you don't have much argument and you were probably ready for basketball and wrestling anyways. That’s on Mshsaa and their obsession with having 5 or more team districts.
4 team districts fixes that problem though I think 48 teams should have been the # they went with.
Football should be treated differently than every other sport as it requires the most participation.
Regardless where you are in the class more classes and evenly distributed classes is bestIf “my” team is near the top of the class, I love the 7-class idea. If it’s at the bottom, not so much…
Don't worry your school will still figure out a way to stay the largest school in a small class so you can keep beating your chest about your state titles.Arkansas
7A 16 Schools. Biggest Class...State championship like a conference.
6A 32 schools
5A 48 Schools
4A 48 Schools
3A 48 Schools
2A 32 Schools
Graduated alignment. The "equal classes" argument is nonsense. Lump borderline schools in with the mega schools? Only makes sense to the people from piss ant schools.
The current system is the best. Play whoever you want first 9 weeks, then bracket up. Just need smaller districts for geographical reasons. 16 districts with 4 or 3 teams would be the best. One extra round of playoffs would be very good for the state.I still think this was the best system we had - 4 team districts, top 2 move on. class 4 might have been the most watered down bracket in forever and yes that includes class .5.Don't worry your school will still figure out a way to stay the largest school in a small class so you can keep beating your chest about your state titles.

At least class .5 portageville had a pulse. They beat a team kearney 'rolled' 35-13.
Joey scared kearney may have to actually beat someone in back to back weeks or something crazy.
