I don't know if it is for all the marbles or not, but it is a pretty big game. Rematch of 2 rivals. I thought Lebanon would win round 1 and was wrong. I am going back on the Yellow Jacket wagon for this one.

I'll be eager to see what changes Lebanon makes defensively. I know Camdenton is 5 wide but they really took advantage of Lebanon playing such a light box and ran all over them the 1st game. I too think they win this time around.

Do either of them have a legit shot at beating the Carthage/Republic winner?

Just my long distance $.02 but I would say definitely yes. Not sure how healthy Gall is.

If Gall is healthy, it would be a tall, tall order for either (and REPMO, for that matter). If Gall is out, those four teams could be juggled and you might not know the difference.

Most teams play a light box against these spread offenses. Glendale played with four hands on the ground against the Lakers and had a lot of success, so I could see Lebanon playing a little heavier box to stop the jet sweeps and quarterback draws. The secondary will have to hold up against the deep passes. Lebanon had 400 yards of offense the last time these two teams played, but penalties and a fumble cost them plenty of chances. Overcoming the inevitable bad calls that will go against them at the JOD tonight will be the biggest factor tonight.

As a Carthage fan (and assuming they win tonight...which I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't) I'd rather see Lebanon in the quarters because 1. I think both Carthage and Republic matchup better with them and 2. A potential Carthage semi-final birth would probably be a home game.

Lebanon played a 3-1 box with 3 safeties at 12-15 yards for a good portion of the game and never really adjusted to motion. I just felt they gave up too many easy bubble screens, jet sweeps and QB Draws. I'm sure they will have a different game plan this time around. But like you said they did move the ball a lot on Camdenton. I do think they find a way to win this one.

Lebanon scores on every offensive possession. Literally.

I wouldn't be surprised if they beat Carthage, especially if Gall isn't at 100%

Wow I felt pretty good about Lebanon tonight but would have never dreamed at this outcome.

Lebanon has quietly put together a nice program.
last 5 seasons
2018- 9-3 loss in playoffs to Carthage
2019 9-3 loss in district championship to Camdenton.
2020 9-4 Loss to WC in Quarterfinals
2021 11-2 Loss to WC in Quarterfinals
2022 11-1 ?
Just cant seem to get over the hump.
That’s what happens when most years when Webb City is in your path

that’s what happened with WP the first few years that Ary turned it around before Webb went to 5

The combined score of the 3 times Ary faced Webb City was 132-25 games were far from competitive.

Never said they were “competitive”. Stated that Webb was in their path which makes it a pretty sure bet that you’re not making the playoffs.

Combined score for the last two years that Lebanon has ran into Webb was 77-27

I’d say Lebanon losing by 3+ TDs on the average doesn’t sound very competitive either.
and I’ll say these last 2 years, Webb didn’t have the D that they did 5+ years ago

Wow! Just saw the final score of this one. Most people get a watch for retirement. Lebanon gave Coach Shore a clock.

Had to go and watch this one on YouTube. Couldn’t believe the score. Lebanon defense definitely figured Camdenton offense out.
