Lathrop v. Lamar?

The penalty could have been overcome, they could have passed the ball on 3rd and 13 instead of running up the middle. There is absolutely zero confidence in the passing game. One pass in a tight game with 11 in the box most of the time? They can pass, but won't...this fact will end their season short of a state championship, among other reasons.
agree. IMO it's just not our strength, so in a crunch time play we aren't going to call that, period. Even if it's a traditional passing down. I also think they already had their minds made up to go for the FG, so they just wanted to try and gain some yards and not risk a pick.

Only the first half of the season when there was a high probability they were going to win the game regardless of the result of said pass.
also, the last few times we have passed there has been a lot more pressure. The one I can remember was a nice throw to Hull for probably 10-15 yards while being pressured out of the pocket. I think that was Versailles?

There were multiple times in those early games where Dunc has all the time in the world to set his feet and chuck it. These last few passing plays, not as much.

I guess ill temper my feelings on this.... :(

All that I can say is that every team has ups and downs. If this is one of Lamar's downs, making the semifinals, then I think almost every program in the state would take that. Before 2009, Lamar had never been in a final four in any boys sport. Now after 10 straight semifinal appearances in football, 3 state championships in Cross Country, and 2 state championships in track, the Lamar boys are doing just fine.

If Lamar was to lose this weekend, I would consider this year a success. They are not going to win every year. But, with the young talent on the way, I would say they will be in the running for years to come.

Lamar appears to have a better than average group of kickers but the snaps have been rough at times.
Never got an official stat, but going into the half last week the Lathrop kicker put one through from near 40, might have been as long as 45 yards with room to spare. They also have a really good punter.

Okay: 2017 The final two weeks it was 14-3 in predictions. Throw out the <7 and it is over 90% accurate.
Who cares about the accuracy of <7. You don't win the game by being within 7 points. If that counts as a win, then why is Webb and Lamar playing this weekend instead of Camdenton and Ava?

Oh Lamar...you in trouble Cuz I know they got speed too. They got loads of all state track athletes...

How many players on the Lathrop team ? Lamar has only ever used the pass to set up the run, and still has ample break-away speed backs this year.
