They'd be hitting a lot of solo HR right now. We are .001 from having the worst OBP in the national league.
In no particular order, remember Rolen, Pujols, Edmonds, Walker, .......
Mo needs to go
Honestly...Who could he have gotten? I agree, it'd be nice to have a banger. But who has signed in the last two off seasons that he could've realistically gotten?Agreed. There is a good supporting cast here, but he didn't get us the anchor.
This isn't on MO. He has put a competitive roster together every year except this one. Can't bang a guy for one crappy off-season he refused to mortgage the next five with a really bad contract.Agreed. There is a good supporting cast here, but he didn't get us the anchor.

Josh Turner is exactly what the Birds have a lot of. He's not a bonafide slugger. You're reaching just to bitch there, and I dig you man. Encarnacion was never an option. Always stated he wanted to play in the AL and DH. And I'm with you, love to have Cespedes. But he came after the Mets as hard as they came after him. I remember reading an article about a binder his agent put together to show to the Mets. Had all the articles from the Daily about Cespedes. He was going to be in NY or LA the whole time. He had The Mang syndrome, but always came across as sincere to me.Whomever he wanted to pay. Cespedes. Turner. Encarnacion. Think about how much we offered horse sh Heyward and $60 million for a 35 year old catcher.
I hate it too. But really it's two years. This year was a given. Hopefully Kelly is ready to take over full time in 2020. And hopefully the Birds have a manager sharp enough to split their time in 2019.Yadi contract is the worst I can think of. Absolutely absurd.
But but but all you have to do is write a check. Being a GM isn't nearly as hard as Mo makes it look. No reason we shouldn't have an MVP candidate at every spot. Mo is just incapable of doing his job.Josh Turner is exactly what the Birds have a lot of. He's not a bonafide slugger. You're reaching just to bitch there, and I dig you man. This X infinity. GM'ing with the biggest bank book in the world is hard for some. Ask Jerry Dipoto. But but but all you have to do is write a check. Being a GM isn't nearly as hard as Mo makes it look. No reason we shouldn't have an MVP candidate at every spot. Mo is just incapable of doing his job.
Of course after you write a check and the dude doesn't work out as well as hoped you're an idiot for writing it. Lol.
Nice that you don't address the issue. Turner isn't a masher. And Cespedes wasn't an option. The only one that I think might have been an option was Upton two offseasons ago. And thankfully, they passed.I had no idea the Stltoday staff posted on Mosports. A couple of mo kissers.
Turner is a good fielding 3B. Wasn't the stated goal to improve our D? Is Jhonny a better hitter?
Cespedes is an all star hitter and gold glove outfielder.
Do we have one of those?
I bet neither one of you could perform open heart surgery. But I bet you would still hold your surgeon to a high standard. The most profitable team in baseball has no star.
Not one. I'm not asking for one at each position. Just one period.
Hard to judge that 15 games in.I still don't think Fowler was that great of a get....
Not sure why this wasn't the move prior to now. That's Matheneging, not Mo.Tired of Jhonny? Stay ready for 3B Jedd Gyorko
