Lamar vs. Valle 2016 (when/where is the game, PREDICTIONS!)

I'm still not sure when/where this game will be (have heard a couple different stories).

Predictions seem to be region-driven; most from the East picking Valle, and most from the West picking Lamar.

This Westerner thinks Valle won't know what hit them

Oct 1 at Valle... I live 10 miles south of Lamar and i believe Valle wins by 2 Tds. I think the Lamar kids Will think its an easy win and Will get beat.

Marionville a few Times and St Gene once and Thayer. Valle beat St Gene down by 29-30 points and St Gene was ranked top 10 in state in class 3 all yr and barely lost to Central in the play-offs.

I'm a westerner, but after seeing Lamar put it on class 4 Carl Junction last year, who barely lost to Webb City just 2 weeks later last year ... I say Lamar. But Valle will be dangerous since they will have the same motivation vs. Lamar, that Lamar did vs. CJ.

Two totally different teams, seen Valley numerous times over the years at the Dome.
Ball control / Defense defeats high scoring, have no idea who wins but sounds like a fun matchup.

Trust me, those boys never overlook a game. I think they want it even more after almost losing MT View Liberty. I'm not sure who wins as I've never really seen Valle play, but I know we thought last year might be a down year and we end up undefeated for the 1st time. I'm excite, it's gonna be a great game!!

Last year was a rebuilding year for Lamar. They lost a few good seniors but they had a young team. Valle is a great program but Lamar IMO has the edge.

Oh, Gee, Coach Bailey probably never thought that his kids might not take Valle seriously. Give me a break. After 5 successful (as they are measured, now) seasons, one thing has become common place and that is that your past achievements only result in the need to work harder, the next year. Speaking of city Dam heard this from a Lamar volleyball player Bailey was pretty mad last week when most of the girls were beating 85 % of the boys as they ran the dam... And as much as this seems like I'm trolling I'm not.... I know many of the football players and this is coming from some of their mouths about working hard not mine bc your right I'm not there.

Lamar has unbelievable speed. CJ has more speed than just about any other team, and they were shocked by Lamar's speed last year.

I wouldn't say passing team but they do everything really well.. I'm honestly thinking about heading to the game that Saturday.. Should be a good one

I think it is a little too early to be making predictions. It all depends on how much both teams have improved from last year. And how much the younger kids grow and develop. Injuries before they play could also change the outcome. Like I said before, Lamar has a chance to be very good this year. I really don't know much about what Valle will have this year. Both should have long winning streaks going when they meet. And also, Lamar has the incentive of doing something that no other team in the state of Missouri has ever done. Win six straight state championships. Webb City, Valle and Lamar have won five straight. So, that should be a reason for the Lamar boys to work extra hard this summer.

Don't forget Lamar will basically have 3 weeks to heal up and rest legs before this game. They may need it after Aurora and Monett back to back before that.

Kinda feel the same. Not a huge blowout but a 28-7 type game. Lamar could have competed in the state game for class 3 IMO.

What has you crying? Saying that valle plays by different rules? They do.
