The problem is then you have a short week and also run into quarter limits, two varsity football games in a week is a lot. That is why I am glad MSHSAA changed the playoff format to one game a week

I dont think anyone is second guessing that Butler had a reason to cancel or thinking conspiracy. Just weird that they didnt cancel the cross country meet.

serious question. If they have not played in 2 weeks, how can they be ready coming right out of quarantine with mshsaa rule to play? Not just them but several schools have done the 2 week qauaratine and then played on the 15 day.

Due in part to the fact that when the 14 day quarantine is imposed it is likely at least several days since the determined last known exposure and in some cases more. They back date the start of quarantine to the last exposure so for example; earlier this season Carthage had to cancel WC game 2 days before contest but last known exposure was determined to be the previous Thursday before they played a game the week before so they cleared quarantine only having to miss 1 game. LKE defined by health department.

As you stated they only missed 1 game. How is that possible? It would have been 2 weeks the Thursday they played the next game. MSHSAA has a return to play rule that takes another week since they had not been able to practice.
