No kidding. Traveling again this year is bunk as well. However, we travel well and will just go do what we do. I find it interesting that we have to travel to semis "should we make it". There's no love. Poor Lamar. LOL
In relation to Ava, I won't discredit this team what-so-ever. I believe they should be proud and would expect them to come in confident. Winner moves on. However, I respect what Ava has achieved and these boys deserve to be respected. Now, on the other hand, should they prove to act like Mount Vernon, I retract the above and gloves are off.

I guess I don't understand what a 35 possession game is. You can tell how many times we had possession by the score? I have had some head injuries, after all.

This couldn’t be a more applicable situation for the picture I posted and I stand by it.
We had kids with eyes gouged, bitten, and some had to ice their nads after the game from being hit their so many times. They are by far the most classless team we meet, and this year was an exception.

When discussing a 15 point loss to power house Lamar.... pretty sure you can can count the number of teams who've came that close in the last 6 years on 1 hand.
Granted, there were twice, maybe 3 times that Lamar smoked Liberty without a doubt.
But they're the only team that has given them all they wanted more than once in the postseason and that team was from the SCA.

Interesting that with less than 4 minutes to play in the Iowa 3A semifinal, Harlan trails 41-26 and the announcers continue to refer to it as a "two possession game." Sure enough, Harlan scored a TD and kicked the PAT and now trails by 8.
If this were truly a three possession game before that score, then it would now be a two possession game trailing by 8. So if Harlan does get a TD, I'd assume they'd go for the one-point kick PAT to cut the score to 41-40 and then need that onside kick to get that third possession.

In my opinion this was the hardest fought game in all of Lamar's title run games! They matched up strength for strength with Lamar and led in the pass and outside run areas ! Their defense was tough as any they have played lately ! It is a good wake up call for Lamar next week ! I listened to a little of the Caruthersville - L. N.game and it sounds like L .N. runs outside well! My hat is off to Ava as a host! I doubt Lamar will get that treatment next week !
