Lafayette County 7 vs Lamar 41 Final

Only possession of the 2nd quarter for Lamar results in a TD run by Haun, missed Xtra point!

They really are. I watched some film for the heck of it yesterday. They look good.
Told one of my buddies I met at Rockhurst last night I drive by Pius campus every day on way to work they were out working way back in the early summer. All that prep is sure paying dividends now but that is a long drive down to the OK border will be interesting to see how they exit the gate in particular vs. a very, very solid Seneca.

Hired that former player as a coach and haven’t looked back

quick recap from my view - of course Lamar played a great 1st half, and the underdog Huskers played a great first half as well, sustaining a ten minute, 20 play drive to tie things up in the second quarter. Lamar then drove for a quick score right before the half, soon after. Lamar took the 2nd half kickoff (Huskers elected to receive the opening kickoff) and never looked back. Scoring on their first possession of the 2nd half, and then capitalizing on a delay of game penalty on the Huskers and then a special teams miscue...before running down hill the entire second half. This game was a tale of two halves. Credit Lamar, save for BG I don't see anyone at all holding them back from a ninth title. Congrats to Coach Cook and the Huskers though on an amazing season once again. I know this loss stings, but there are a bunch of teams that never make it this far.
