Odessa really beat up on them those last couple games as well. Think with the trajectory Pius has been on over the past couple of seasons they would definitely be able to hold their own with both teams. Harrisonville is definitely a sleeping giant though, do not know what has been going on with that program since they last won state.

I believe the HC from their 2016 title (Maxwell) returned there last year. That league is full of "sleeping giants" including another kinda mysterious program Oak Grove. The Odessa deal was, as you point out, TIMING. Today I'd give an ever so small edge to Pius were they playing.

Odessa was supposed to be down last year. They finished 8-4.
