Linkedin says Scorpio Horn.Who is their coach?
Not bad in their inaugural JV/school opening year, either.I know it’s a different level but they looked good in JV last year.
Scorp moved into more of an admin roll for the school.Linkedin says Scorpio Horn.
they got some kidsI know it’s a different level but they looked good in JV last year.
The Gators!!!WELCOME to varsity 11-man FB this fall!
they'll be class 2 correct? In track, had Florida U colors and a Gatoraid G logo.
They were at 200 this year, so I guess C1.they'll be class 2 correct?
Opener is at Illinois 1A Madison (NE outer STL burbs where I believe the raceway is located). Got a new Company issued iPhone with a super battery may put this game on while watching the Kearney-PC game. They were at 200 this year, so I guess C1.
The 'new class 1' will be smaller than that. They were at 200 this year, so I guess C1.
Yes SirHaha spoken like a true UGA Dawg!
I thought they were more of a black with green and orange? In track, had Florida U colors and a Gatoraid G logo.
Sounds like a hurricane to me...I thought they were more of a black with green and orange?
Last year (and in a few random ones before) I proposed this happens. It makes even more sense now that the IL has essentially dissolved: University Academy, KIPP KC Legacy, Hogan Prep, Pembroke Hill, St. Pius X, St. Michael, Summit Christian Academy, Lincoln Prep. A nice even 8 team league. Center needs to return to the Suburban Blue conference. Not at all sure what to do with Central-Southeast and East, though.Maybe time to bring back the old Metro Athletic Conference?
I like it but you aren't going to get Lincoln Prep without the other KCMO schools. I say add Center to the group. Or let Center take SPX's spot in the MEC.Last year (and in a few random ones before) I proposed this happens. I don't know that the MEC would consider that exchange because of the distance from all their member schools to south KC. I am actually surprised they've had PC and Smithville in addition to Pius due to that same factor. The IL deal is such a tough one because of the competitive disparity between not just LP but this whole list and, unfortunately, SE-Central and East.I like it but you aren't going to get Lincoln Prep without the other KCMO schools. You know who else should be in that conference if LP turned them down, is Van Horn, bring in the entire Crossroads Conference then it might actually get done.I don't know that the MEC would consider that exchange because of the distance from all their member schools to south KC. Non-FB but I would add Barstow for other sports especially basketball.
Yep former IL member easy for me to forget. Gotta admit I am not up on who remains in the Crossroads Conference. It was really, really spread out at one time and included KS schools. You know who else should be in that conference if LP turned them down, is Van Horn, bring in the entire Crossroads Conference then it might actually get done.
Butler was briefly in this league, too. Not exactly a trip around the block. St. Mary's did indeed shutter in 2009. A huge shame have lots of vivid memories of that school and not just in HSFB.Crossroads this spring was St. Michael, Summit Christian, University Academy, Van Horn and Barstow. 15 years ago it had Lone Jack, Sherwood, Maranantha, St. Mary's and Barstow. I think that group shut down in 2009.

As stated earlier many great stories from that school. Back in the late 90s to early 00s had an Operations manager who enrolled his son there. Spunky kid small as he was for a high schooler quite fun to watch play FB. Going way back this was one of the greatest girls BB programs in MO from the late 70s to mid-late 80s. Attended final year of college at UMKC with their best ever player Wilcox. My mom and family were St. Mary folk in the glory days. Sad day when it shut down, but it needed to be shuttered.

Also distinctly remember the all sport St. Mary's-O'Hara rivalry. A game of tiddly winks between those two would have been open warfare.
If Center would return to the Suburban Blue, I think Pius would fit in nicely with the MRVC West. They are Class 3 like most of the conference, better road trips, and would be able to compete right away. Also have history with Warrensburg and Clinton from the West Central and have played Odessa multiple times over the past decade in non-conference play.Last year (and in a few random ones before) I proposed this happens. St. Pius, Pembroke Hill, Bishop Hogan, St. MarysFrom the late 40s through mid 70s, KC has a Catholic League Conference. It ended in 73-74 with St. Pius X, Bishop Hogan, Pembroke Country Day, and St. Joe Shawnee as members. Other members over the years were St. Mary's, Lillis, Glennon, Redemptorist, Immaculata, St. John's, DeLaSalle and Rockhurst.
Who were in the Metro Athletic Conference?
St. Pius, Pembroke Hill, Bishop Hogan, St. Marys
Used to look forward to that Odessa-Pius opener. Sorry they discontinued the series. If Center would return to the Suburban Blue, I think Pius would fit in nicely with the MRVC West. Bouchard years at Harrisonville they and Pius played annually, too, although most of those were not close at all.If Center would return to the Suburban Blue, I think Pius would fit in nicely with the MRVC West. Odessa really beat up on them those last couple games as well. Think with the trajectory Pius has been on over the past couple of seasons they would definitely be able to hold their own with both teams. Harrisonville is definitely a sleeping giant though, do not know what has been going on with that program since they last won state.Bouchard years at Harrisonville they and Pius played annually, too, although most of those were not close at all.
