Hazelwood came to play and played tough. Kickapoo was a little sluggish.

Ru, The Hazelwood Central Hawks play a monster schedule and is capable of playing any team in Missouri. I believe the Hawks can win class 5 district 3 but a good Pattonville and Hawk rival McCluer North team may cause problems. If the Hawks win district 3, they will quickly become an underdog in the sectionals as either Chaminade or SLUH will be waiting.
Hawk head coach Josh Martin is a clever guy and knows the odds are against his team surviving tough district 3 and 4 therefore has elected to have a state tournament game every night by playing one of the top schedules in Missouri.

Yes indeed, Josh Martin believe in having a state tournament game every night.
I was impressed with them. They played hard and physical. Kickapoo had their hands full the entire game. They did a great job of smothering the chiefs all night on defense. In the end Ridder and Davis were just to much for the Hawks to stop.
