  1. Platte County defeated WC 39 - 18 ( WC is 2-4 with bad losses to Staley, PC, and a mercy loss to FO)
  2. St Joe Central 41 - 34 (SJC 2 wins 4 losses)
  3. Ruskin 52-12 (Rusk 6 non-competitive losses )
  4. Park Hill South 37-7 (PHS 6 losses but other than the PC loss, competitive losses vs. LSN, LSW, TRU)
  5. Winnetonka 36-0 (Winn 5 losses 1 win vs a 6 loss OP team)
  6. Belton 50-PC 24 ( Back-up QB started for PC ) ( Belton 4 wins, Beltons wins come vs OP, GV,PC, NKC 2 ugly losses to RayP and PH).
PC has given up 121 points in 6 games which averages out to just over 20 points per game. PC opponents have a combined win loss record of 9 wins and 25 losses.

Kearney is 5 wins 1 loss

  1. 55 - 15 Win vs SJC 2-4 ( SJC has zero quality wins)
  2. 49 - 14 Win vs Lib 0-6 ( Liberty has one competitive loss to 3-3 Ray Pec)
  3. 21 -10 Loss to Lib N 4-2 ( LN has competitive loss to Staley and bad loss to BSS)
  4. 53-15 Win vs Ray S 2-4 ( RS has bad losses to K, GV 2 wins vs PHS 0-6 Ray 2-4)
  5. 62- 6 Win vs Ruskin 0-6 ( poor Ruskin)
  6. 62- 7 Win vs Tonka 1-5 ( poor Tonka)
Kearney opponents have a combined win loss record 7 wins 27 Losses Kearney has surrendered 78 points to and 13 points per game. The points surrendered in the first haif or game on the line are from LN and Ray S games. I can't recall the first half stat line for LIb or SJC. Long story short, no secret that Kearney defense is exceptional and the 13 points per game stat is actually 7 points at the most.

Kearney has feasted on weak defenses and regardless of the QB situation vs LN struggled to run it vs the one and only good run defense they've scrimmaged this season. What is the reason Kearney seemingly scores too much. They have no choice! The defenses are so weak that can't keep them out of end zone. Kearney has to at least break a sweat to improve their offense. The defenses are bad enough to make them appear to be bad sports but in reality this not true. At some point their play off run they are going to square off against a strong defense.

Off topic... This thread is not for webbies to p** on brag about how awesome they are.
More importantly the information supports my earlier ( ma'am can I have some D) post that there is a trend of poor defenses in Sub Conferences.

Thanks for qualifying this thread, otherwise I probably would have felt the need to brag about our defense...
Seriously, your coaches can only do the best they can with the schedule that you have. You prepare to be the best you can be when playoff time comes and that's the bottom line.

As I stated from earlier post. Once PC lost their main offensive weapon for the season they were not going to be a contender. They can't cover up a porous defense evidence being the Belton game. PC is fortunate to be standing 5-1. PC received some fortitutous breaks from some bad football teams.
When you have bad football teams playing bad football they typically make fatal mistakes. PC is respected in the minds of the opponents for they are supposed to be better. Good enough to defeat Kearney and make it to Harrisonville in 2012? But in spite of beating a good Winn squad last year, not that all special. PC is enough to beat bottom feeders programs. Seemingly Kearney is on a renewed mission since losing to a better LN team. I look for Kearney to turbo PC. There is no love lost between the two programs very close in proximity.
I was hoping some PC fans would chime in and defend there cause. Long story short, if you're looking for a good matchup, this game is not the one.

Blizzard you make a good point. I still think Kearney wins even if PC has the starting QB. Kearney's defense is pretty good as we all know. And Platte City Defense was well all I can say they better be glad that #24 Blankenship was suited up or it would have been real ugly. #24 was all over the field making some good stops at times. That was about the most docile crowd I have ever heard at Platte City. Before the first qrtr even ended the most annoying announcer in a press box in Missouri was finally quiet for the rest of the game.

He can't be worse than the guy from Harrisonville
